Just for my own clarification, did the shadows that stabbed Hiccup's leg somehow transfer demon blood into his system, or did I miss something?

Yes, its not mentioned that but they are pretty much shadows that are made from Izaya's blood. Because he's that much of an a-hole. but if you want i can change that

@proteus - Yes. I was hoping he would get taken to the Kingdom of Light. That way he's not in any immediate danger in the woods, and he's taken off the battlefield so that Astrid assumes something bad might have potentially happened.
