Ghost or Demon?

"With pleasure," Ikuto said his tail flicking the ghost in the nose.
He made his way towards the large hallway leading to a stair case.
"Dinning room is on the right, bathrooms down the hall, upstairs is the new coming demons, higher you go up the more powerful the demons are."

Dan sniffed as he got a noseful of cat fur. Oh, how he hated animals.

The demon nodded as he walked past the rooms, listening to all explanations. He stared at the staircase. "I'm going to guess that I will have to start at the bottom and work my way up? Or, do I automatically get a room by going through some sort of test?"
