"Oh, I have my reasons." Gothe replied dismissively. She did have her reasons for wanting to teach them. At the very least, Gothel wanted to make sure that there weren't witches and wizards abusing their powers. The last thing the world needed was for some teen to gain fire powers and burn the entire forest down or something of that nature. "It's more for their own safety than anything else. You understand, don't you? Untamed powers aren't the safest thing in the universe, and if it's one thing I would much prefer to have it would be competent witches and wizards. The last thing the world needs is incompetent witches and wizards roaming free." Gothel explained. Then, as if on cue, there came the sound of a yelp and what sounded like something catching on fire. Steely blue eyes grew wide for a beat, only to narrow as Gothel's slender hand went to her face.
"Case in point. Fire witches and wizards can be... unpredictable when they first learn. This one in particular has been giving me problems. Far better that I teach him now rather than him roaming out there with no control over his powers." Gothel said. All the while, her hand stayed on her face. That boy was going to have to learn to keep focused. If he didn't learn to focus, she didn't know if he would be able to utilize his fire without being under some sort of pressure. That was never a good thing.
