(ooc: June 3rd. Open to all witches.)
"Wow... I don't think I've ever seen this many books in one place before."
To the fourteen year old light witch, it was like a dream come true. She'd read a couple of books around her home, but never before had she seen so many in one place. How would she ever get around to reading them all? It seemed like it was nearly impossible! Polka strode toward one of the shelves and gently placed her hand on the nearest book. It felt smooth to the touch. Who knew how old it was? The thin layer of dust suggested it was of a fair age, but Polka couldn't tell how long it had been on that shelf. "This one looks good." Polka finally said as she pulled the book from the shelf. Polka carefully brushed the dust from the cover and began to make her way toward a table.
Somehow, Polka couldn't help but wonder where everyone else was. Hiccup had vanished after breakfast, and Arthur was just... gone. Where was everyone? Were they avoiding her? Polka let a soft sigh escape her as she laid the book in front of her and began to look through it. I'll just have to wait and see if anyone else comes. Polka thought. It bothered her, though. Polka had been careful to hide anything about the fact that she had an illness (or... used to. Polka didn't know if she still possessed it or not since her powers had enhanced), so there shouldn't have been a reason to avoid her. Maybe it was just that she didn't know anyone. Yes... that must have been it. At least, Polka hoped that was it. She didn't want to be avoided anymore.
"Maybe I just came at a bad time..."

The door to the library opened and Mami walked inside. She liked to read as much as the next girl, yet the library seemed to surprise her every time she came in. Her golden eyes swayed from the books to the newcomer. A blonde like herself. "Hello." she said coming up to her. "Are you new?"

Surprise was evident in Polka's sky blue eyes as Mami spoke to her. She hadn't expected anyone to actually show up just because she was musing out loud to herself. At the same time, though, she was relieved. Polka definitely felt better knowing that she wasn't being avoided by the rest of the witches and wizards Gothel had taken in. At length, a small smile graced her features and she nodded. "I suppose you could say that. I've only been here around a day or so... at least as far as I can tell." Polka said. How long had Mami been there? More importantly, how long had there been other witches there?
Polka did want to introduce herself, but uncertainty of how Mami would react kept her from speaking any more. Generally people tried to avoid her, all because they thought they would become sick like her. What if Mami was the same way? It was a part of the reason Polka was hesitant to try and make friends. She did want to try, that was for certain, but she didn't want to face the pain of rejection. Conflicted light witch was conflicted.

Mami smiled a tiny smile. "Well, its nice to meet you. It's always pleasant having newcomers around." she said before holding out her hand. "I'm Mami, Mami Tomoe." she said. "A light witch." the library seemed so huge to her now that she was with Polka. Two tiny girls in one library, it was bound to be something interesting.

For a long moment, Polka just stared at Mami's hand. Never before had someone willingly introduced themselves to her. It felt so strange. Then again, she wasn't in Tenuto anymore. The people outside her home were different, and witches were common place. Gothel had welcomed her with open arms, after all. There probably was no reason for Polka to worry about whether or not people knew about her disease anymore. Despite that bit of knowledge, Polka still hesitated a bit as she began to hold out her own hand for Mami to shake.
"...I'm Polka." she said at last. That sealed the deal for her. No reason to back out now that the two knew each other's names. Besides, what harm would there be in the pair of them hanging around the library together? It could be fun. One thing registered in Polka's mind after a moment, though. "Wait... did you say you're a light witch? That's... I thought light witches weren't supposed to be common." Polka said. Gothel had confirmed that she was a light witch upon arriving, hence why her powers had enhanced, and had mentioned that light magic was far from common. Were she and Mami just very lucky to have been blessed with such powers?

"Yes, Gothel told me the same thing." Mami said. "I suppose we are the only two Light witches, so far there is only one time wizard and one illusionist witch among our ranks as well." The blonde shook her head. "I try not to dwell on it though, everyone has a gift, prehaps the two of us were given these powers for a reason."
While the girl didn't exactly know the reason yet, she was glad to have another light witch. Thinking for a moment, she gave a small smile. "Would you like some tea before looking around the library?" it was an odd question but Mami always liked drinking tea while reading and even though it wasn't forbidden, Gothel didnt take a liking to having drops on the books so she had to be very careful

"Maybe so..." Polka murmured. It almost seemed like a curse where she was from. It had meant she would die. With her powers enhanced, though... maybe it wasn't so bad. She belonged, didn't she? "I don't think it's anything to worry about. It's just... I thought I was the only one. But I'm glad I'm not." Polka said. It meant she wasn't going to be looked upon as strange again. That was all that mattered.
Mami's question regarding tea stirred a familiar feeling in Polka's mind. She hadn't had tea since she had been home with her mother. A hint of sadness crossed Polka's face at that point, but it vanished quickly. She wouldn't allow herself to be sad. She'd chosen to run away, after all. Although she did want some tea, Polka was hesitant. "Are you sure it's a good idea to have tea in the library? I thought food and drink weren't allowed in here." Polka said.

"Oh yes, it is quite already. Lady Gothel doesn't mind as long as you don't get any on the books." Mami said with a smile. "Which is why i normally have a cup before i go searching through the millions of books here." she said spreading out her arms. She gave a giggle. "I always end up finding something new in here, no matter how many times i come."
She thought for a moment. "Prehaps you would like a tour?"

"Oh, could you?"
Polka's eyes lit up with delight at the prospect of exploring the library. Having never seen so many books before, she was more than a little overwhelmed by it all. Having someone to guide her would have been wonderful. At length, Polka gave a nod. "I would love to. There's so many books here, I don't even know where to start. I just... sort of picked this one at random." Polka said. She didn't even know what book she had grabbed. The dusty cover had made her wonder about it, of course, but she hadn't bothered to look at the title or anything.
"I would like to have some idea of what's in here."

Mami nodded before looking at the book. "I often pick up books at random when i am in here, but it is surprising to know what secrets they hold." she gave a smile before offering Polka her hand. "It is easy to get lost in here." she replied with a frown. "That's why it is normally closed at night, but several of us sometimes come in to study."

Vi wandered down the halls of the library, mindlessly munching on an apple and reading a book on illusions. Studying wasn't her thing, but she hardly knew how to handle these powers. She'd gone through her entire life with two sets of powers: Invisibility and Force fields, all of the sudden it was force fields and illusions. Some might now see the difference, but there was a huge difference between making people see things that weren't there, and making people not be able to see you. She sighed deeply and snapped the current book in her hand shut. She'd borrowed it from the only other Illusion witch there was, and she seemed very hesitant to give it to her, and practically demanded she return it within a few days.
At least if worse came to worst she'd always have her other power. Though she had to admit, she was happy to finally have an offensive power. Her mother would always say "The best offense is a good defense" but she knew that was just to make her feel better about the fact that she was the only one in their family without an attacking power. She mindlessly ran her fingers across the dusty sides of the books on the shelves before looking up to see two little blonde girls who looked to be a tad younger than she.
"Uh, hi." She said, a bit shyly. Being in the new enviornment she was quickly retreating back into her shell, sometimes she had to remind herself that she wasn't that shy little girl. "I'm Violet." She said, her voice regainign it's previous confidence.

Mami glanced over at the newcomer. "Hello there, it's nice to meet you Violet." she said. "I'm Mami." the golden eyed girl gave her a small smile before turning to face her still inwards to Polka, so that she would not ignore the other girl. The raven haired girl seemed to be quite shy, maybe she was like that around new people.
Unlike some of her classmates, Mami had a hard time reading people sometimes. "Are you...um okay?"

Polka looked back as well and offered a little smile to Violet. It was nice to know that she and Mami weren't the only ones present. Even though the blue-eyed girl was still uncertain of whether or not anyone really wanted to be her friend, Polka did like the idea of having some extra company. "Hello, Violet." Polka said. She slowly rose from her chair and pushed it back toward the table in preparation to follow Mami if she chose to start that tour she had talked about. Almost out of habit, Polka brought her hands together and glanced downward. Even though she was welcomed in the castle, it was plain to see that she still felt a bit out of place.
"I'm Polka. It's nice to meet you." she murmured. One thing she and the newest arrival seemed to have was that they both appeared just a bit unfamiliar with interacting with others.

Mami turned to Violet. "I was just about to give Polka here a tour of the library, would you like to join us? Or are you busy?" she asked gesturing to Violet's book, she knew that studying was important and the girl in front of her looked like she was quite into what she was doing. If that was the case Mami didn't want to disturb her.

"Nice to meet you both." She said with a smile to the two blonde girls. They seemed nice, a little younger then her, but a bit older than Dash. And not nearly as annoying as her insect little brother. She loked at the book in her hand when Mami spoke. "Oh this? No, I'm not busy, I finished my reading for the day." She said with a chuckle. Truth be told this whole magic thing was confusing her to no end. She missed her old power where all she had to do was think it and it'd happen. "That being said I'd love to join you on a tour of the library."
"That is, if neither of you mind me tagging along?" She asked.
