Personality: She has a well-regulated and beautiful appearance though is unable to stomach company from others. Due to her often snapping at others in brutal ways and her short stature, she is given the nickname "Palmtop Tiger". Her under-developed body and the added nickname has given her a complex which in turn serves to give her a negative attitude and facial expression. Essentially, Taiga gets upset easily and is considerably clumsy. Due to her cute looks (described as a doll by Ryûji), she often gets confessions by boys her age, but she turns down every one of them. Inside, she has a soft side.
History: Taiga's family was just falling apart, her father was leaving her mother for a younger woman, her mother was getting more protective, and still she wasn't growing. She had packed up a few things and escaped into the night. On her way past an old park, she stopped. That's when things got worse. A metor crashed into the Earth, the vibrations shaking the world and sending her flying from the jngle gym she's been sitting on.
Shaken the girl ran home only to discover her house was in ruins. Her parents where both crushed under the weight of the building. Feeling lost, Taiga ran and freaked out. Turning into a wolf she resigned herself to the woods far away from her home. Hoping to find others like herself she stumbled into Sinbad. Pensive at first she soon came to think of the man as her father.

Astrid and Sinbad where at it yet again, arguing over something insanely dumb. Unable to stand it the small girl growled and looked at the two.
"Will you put it back in your pants so we can get something done?" she snapped trying not to bite one of their heads off.
She moved away from the bickering duo as they went at it again, making her way into the shelter of the trees. If they wanted to fight she wasn't going to stick around.
