Name: Sinbad
Age: Early 30s
Movie/Show: Sinbad : Legend of the Seven Seas
Picture:
Other: The white's of his eyes shift to red when angry or before a transformation. The pupils are yellow with red outlines in wolf form. His canines are slightly sharper than normal in human form.
Personality:
While on the outside he might come off as a cocky, loudmouthed, no-good-for-nothing scoundrel, it’s a far cry from what he’s truly like on the inside. (Spending ten years at sea with pirates can do that to a man.) Sinbad is a good guy at heart, and will go far and beyond the call of duty to protect the ones he cares about most, even willing to sacrifice his own life. He enjoys a good sword fight, preferably with someone who he considers an equal. A resourceful man, he can think on his feet and use whatever is at hand to solve a problem. Sinbad has a daring spirit and firmly believes he wasn’t made for dry land, opting for a thrilling life of adventure on the water. His love for the open sea knows no bounds, and is seconded only by his love for Marina. A bit of a flirt, he can put on the charm for the ladies, but if he were to chose someone, his loyalty to them would be immense. Sinbad is slightly short tempered and it goes off quite often (especially when his authority is challenged), but cools down quickly.
History:
Sinbad grew up in Syracuse, spending most of his childhood with the prince, Proteus. They planned on joining the Navy for the thrill of adventure and sailing the seas. Time went on, and one day Proteus greeted his wife-to-be as her ship docked in the harbor. Sinbad fell in love with Marina upon sighting her and couldn’t stand the sight of the two together, so he jumped on the nearest outbound ship.
Ten years went by, and Sinbad became a well respected, infamous pirate, intent on stealing the Book of Peace (a mystical book that keeps the peace between the 12 Cities), holding it for ransom, and after getting said ransom, retiring to Fiji. Sinbad and his crew tried to steal the book from the Syracuse Navy vessel that was transporting it, but a sea monster (courtesy of Eris, the Greek goddess of chaos) attacked both ships. At first, Sinbad attempted to jump back onto his own vessel (The Chimera), but one of the sea monster’s tentacles broke the makeshift plank that bridged the gap between the two ships. The action caused the Chimera some (minor) damage, which enraged Sinbad. He teamed up with Proteus, and like old times, they prevailed. As the monster sank back into the sea, one giant tentacle was headed straight for Proteus!
In a split second decision, Sinbad pushed Proteus out of the way. Proteus attempted to dive into the water after his long lost friend, but two guards held him back.
Sinbad was dragged beneath the ocean’s surface, where Eris blew a bubble and saved his life, for a price. He had to steal the Book of Peace for her and she’ll grant him enough riches to ‘buy the world’. She told him to bring the book to Tartarus, her realm of chaos. Sinbad agreed to steal the book and swam to the surface, where his crew rescued him. The crew was disappointed that they weren’t going after the book immediately, but Sinbad had a plan to steal it in Syracuse. They followed the Navy ship all the way to the city and docked.
There they attended a party thrown by Proteus’ father, King Dymas, as a way to scope out the book’s resting place and come up with a plan. Proteus introduced Sinbad to Marina. Sinbad recognized her, disappeared and ordered the crew back to the ship, the plan to steal the Book of Peace momentarily forgotten. Eris snuck into the tower where the book was kept, disguised herself as Sinbad, stole the book and framed him for the crime.
Sinbad was arrested and thrown into a cell, where Proteus meet him and explained that the Council of the 12 Cities was already planning a trail. Sinbad was held before the Council, and tried to explain that it was Eris who stole the book, not him. The Council refused to listen to a thief, and ordered his execution. Proteus, believing Sinbad was telling the truth, demanded to take his place so Sinbad could search for the book and return it to Syracuse. The Council agreed and gave Sinbad ten days to return with the book. Proteus was imprisoned and Sinbad left.
Back on the ship, Sinbad told the crew that they’re headed for Fiji. Marina had bribed her way on the ship, using rare gemstones as payment.
She tried to get Sinbad to go after the book, telling him that if he did not return, Proteus would die in his place. Sinbad refused to believe this, convinced that King Dymas would not allow his only son (and sole heir to the throne) to be executed. Marina realized that Sinbad would need convincing, and offers him an entire bag of gemstones. Sinbad took the payment and locked Marina in the storage closet. The Chimera set a course for Tartarus. Marina used a knife to undo the hinges and escaped onto the deck, where she met the crew. They became enamored with her and were willing to go out of their way to help her with just about anything.
They encountered Sirens, a monstrous fish that disguised itself as a tropical island and, thanks to Eris’ intervention, a giant snowbird that kidnapped Marina. Sinbad made a hasty rescue, and they were back on course. The Chimera and her crew reached Gates of Tartarus, which was situated right at the Edge of the World. With some quick thinking, Sinbad got the crew to manipulate the sails so the ship floated across the gap between the edge and the Gates. But when they reached the Gates, Sinbad knew he and Marina would have to go in alone.
Eris was quite pleased that the two made it so far. She revealed her plans to them: the goddess knew that Sinbad would run away, leaving Proteus to take his place. Proteus would die and Syracuse, without it’s next rightful leader, would be sent tumbling into chaos. Eris gave Sinbad a chance to prove her wrong; he had to answer one question truthfully and she would give up the book. Sinbad agreed, but requested that Eris give her word as a goddess. Eris obliged and asked her question: if Sinbad could not get the book, would he return to Syracuse to die? Sinbad lied and said ‘Yes’. Eris caught on, boldly declared that Sinbad was lying and threw them out of Tartarus.
As they waited for the Chimera on a sand barge, Marina told Sinbad that she couldn’t understand why Eris didn’t keep her word, for she believed that Sinbad was telling the truth. Sinbad revealed that he lied; that he tried to bluff his way out. Marina begged Sinbad to get as far away from Syracuse as he could, because she couldn’t watch him die. She tearfully admitted that she loved him, to which Sinbad replied: “But can you love a man who would run away?”
Back in Syracuse, Proteus watched as the sun rose over the horizon, marking the end of the 10th day. Just as the executioner lifted the axe, a smaller blade whirled through the air and cut through the handle, the axe blade dropping away from Proteus’ head. Proteus was relieved that Sinbad had returned, but devastated when he learned that the thief was unable to recover the book. Sinbad, true to his word, took Proteus’ place on the chopping block, determined to do what’s right. The executioner brought down his second weapon, a large sword, and the blade shattered at the last moment. Eris appeared and she was livid. She berated Sinbad, accused him of being a “selfish, unprincipled, liar” Sinbad pointed out that he didn’t lie, that he kept his word and came back. He reminded the goddess of her own promise to return the book if he returned to Syracuse. Eris, beaten at her own game, reluctantly gave the book back and disappeared. Peace was restored to the 12 Cities and Sinbad’s name cleared. Proteus invited him to a party that will be held in the thief’s honor later that night, but Sinbad declined and made his way back to the ship. Proteus returned to the palace and spoke to Marina. Out of the kindness of his heart, he revoked his marriage request and allowed Marina to follow her heart, which longed for the sea and Sinbad. Marina, overwhelmed by his act of kindness, thanked Proteus. She joined Sinbad on the Chimera and sailed off in search of the next adventure.
How they changed
Sinbad was on an island when a meteorite crashed near his campsite. He was relatively unharmed, just a bit startled and excited from all the action. Unfortunately, the next night was also the night of the Full Moon. A painful first transformation revealed that he had been changed into a werewolf by the meteorite crash.

Sample Post:
This was beyond ridiculous. First she sneaked on his ship, corrupted his crew, questioned his command, and now this! The Chimera had sustained (what Sinbad believed) extensive damage and he’s the only one who cared about it! The rest of the crew? The rest of the crew was too busy thanking her for ‘saving their lives’. ‘We would have been fine. We always are.” Sinbad thought angrily.
Sinbad set his jaw and turned his back on the crew, only to be faced with a disgruntled Spike. ‘The dog too?’ Sinbad couldn’t believe his luck. Now the dog wanted him to apologize to that--that woman! With a sigh, Sinbad stalked over to the door Marina had slammed earlier and banged his fist on it.
