(ooc: yay for random song titles, huzzah! anyways, june 17th, open to girl witches only. I would love for Courtney and Gwen to come in at some point, Luna is welcome and Gothel can come in as well. No boys. Sorry but its a girls time thread)
Having done her usual routine of cleaning the library before any of hte other people came in, Mami had made her way out to the courtyard with hopes of getting a good start on training. While she did enjoy Gothel's teachings, Mami prefered to train on her own. The sun was barely rising as she concentrated.
The golden pin in her hat glowed softly as it absorbed some of the light's rays. Opening her golden eyes, Mami, picked up the bow she had recieved from one of the closets. Placing it on her arms, she muttered the words that were non-english but it could be easily said as sunlight arrow. A pure arrow of light appeared in the bow's fixtures.
With a smile, she narrowed her eyes, and set the arrow back ready to aim at the targets that she had set up. She was unaware that someone was either watching her or coming up beside her

The alicorn of the dark night was always so interested in these humans. They were nothing like the residents of Equestria. Nothing like Discord was, they stood on two legs, and they had a range of dark browns to pale whites in skin color from what Luna saw. She'd seen everything. Ursa minors, bats, birds, bunnies, other hooved creatures. But this was the only creature she'd never seen before. A human. Seeing a human was a bizarre experience for the princess. But she didn't voice this opinion outloud for reasons unknown.
Seeing a human who was the polar opposite of herself train before the sun had even actually rose was enchanting in a way. Luna stood back behind Mami, the only movement she made was her mane, her tail, her breathing, and blinking, all involuntarily. She stood watching in wonderment. Sun. Light. Celestia. A nice thought of Celestia crossed her mind when she looked at Mami. A small, sad smile crossed her face for several moments before dying back into a straight line.
The witch looked like she was concentrating. Luna had to be careful not to get hit by the arrow by startling the witch. That was not on the to-do list of the princess.

Mami focused, after all even if there were people watching she didn't mind. Taking a slow exhale, she released the quiver. The arrow shot cleanly through the air, striking the wall, sending what appeared to be ripples of light into it. It was her special arrows, ones that could produce rainbows if she wanted them to. Feeling satisfied, she turned to put the arrow down when she noticed Luna.
"Uh. hello." she said. "You are Princess Luna correct?"

Elegant wings bounced up in surprise at seeing the light witch turn around and notice the alicorn. "Yes, thou- you are correct. We are Princess Luna- I mean, I'm Princess Luna, yes." the princess fumbled around her words and volume a bit before letting out a heavy sigh. "It has not been the best time to be practicing this... new speech. Using lower volume and less royal 'we'." The alicorn frowned slightly, glancing down at her periwinkle plated front hooves before looking back up at Mami.
"However... I believe that what you did at this moment was rather fascinating. I am amazed at how you accomplished a task like that so well anyways, fellow witch." Luna had hoped she got the point across. Using her words was no longer her strong suit after sufferring a thousand years away from civilization.

Mami smiled at the alicorn before turning to the circle of rainbow in the wall. "Oh, that...it was nothing. It took quite a bit of hard work to be able to do that." she said before taking a seat on the stone fence protecting one of the trees. "It took me at least a few weeks to do that." Realizing something, Mami gave a frown. "Oh, forgive me Princess, i forgot to introduce myself. I am Mami, Mami Tomoe."

"Miss Tomoe?" Luna repeated. Wow. The difference between them was night and day. Literally. Mami was a witch of the light, polar opposite of Luna being the witch of the dark. Not the witch of the dark, but a witch of darkness. Her cyan eyes flickered to the circle of rainbow, then back at Mami. She didn't seem to be someone to hurt a fly. The princess decided to change the subject from names and elements.
"What is thy purpose for being out here, anyways?" Luna hadn't meant it to be mean or rude, but more out of curiosity. "Simply to practice the powers given to you?"

Mami smiled, she liked the way Luna talked. It seemed fitting to her. "Oh, yes, i love to pratice by myself, Not that i don't like Gothel's methods, i just think i learn better on my own." she placed the arrow down to take a seat. "I also come out here to take care of the flowers from time to time." she said. "Without any love the flowers will never grow to be beautiful."
