Name: Snotlout
Age: 16
Movie/Show: How to Train Your Dragon
Picture:
Other: Snotlout's senses have heightened as a result of becoming a werewolf, but he's still the same headstrong, arrogant Viking he used to be beyond that. His nails have lengthened visibly and become a bit sharper, and his teeth have also become a bit sharper and more fang-like in certain aspects. His appearance is also a bit more disheveled in human form, and he's lost his Viking helmet since fleeing Berk. Snotlout also has the ability to change into the form of a brownish-black wolf.
Personality: To put it simply, Snotlout is an arrogant jerk that thinks very highly of himself. He knows he's better than Hiccup at most everything and tends to show off quite a bit to prove that point, but also tends to not pay attention when he's showing off and, as a result, often finds himself in trouble as a result. He's brutish and tends to rely more on brute strength instead of his brains.
History: Ever since he could remember, Snotlout was one of the teens in Berk that showed potential to be a good dragon killer. In fact, all of them did outside from the sniveling son of the chief, Hiccup. Snotlout would go out of his way to show how much he disliked Hiccup, even going so far as to call him useless every chance he got. Snotlout knew that Hiccup would never be a good dragon killer. He could barely lift a hammer! What chance did he have?
Things seemed to change one night during a dragon raid, though. Snotlout was oblivious to the shooting star that Hiccup had seen, mostly concentrating his efforts on trying to assist the other teens in putting out fires and the like, but when Hiccup went missing during the raid Snotlout decided to see what had happened... as did a lot of the other Vikings. The raven-haired male was surprised to discover Hiccup after he had just scared off a Monstrous Nightmare. Snotlout hadn't actually seen what happened, but he heard Hiccup trying to explain to the every displeased Stoick what had happened. Something involving shooting fire from his hands. The banishment of Stoick's own son pleased Snotlout greatly. As Hiccup's cousin, he would logically be next in line to take on the role of the chief if something happened to Stoick! Nothing could go wrong.
On the next dragon raid, though, Snotlout came to the conclusion that something definitely wasn't right. He, Fishlegs, and Tuffnut found themselves up against a Nadder that had caused Tuffnut to lose his weapon. Snotlout had lost his trying to impress Ruffnut by fighting off a Zippleback earlier that night (which utterly failed on his part) and Fishlegs was too frightened to attack. Astrid came to their aid, but something happened to her. Snotlout didn't fully understand what he was seeing. She just... changed right before his eyes and turned into a wolf. Before he knew it, she was fleeing the scene after saving them. She was gone. Gone just like Hiccup.
A couple of nights after that raid, while the other teens were hanging out after dinner, Snotlout contemplated what had happened. He found himself alone near the edge of the village and in full view of where Hiccup had been just before he had been banished. Because he was alone, though, Snotlout was able to see a small band of Terrible Terrors sneaking into the village, likely trying to steal food. This was his chance! He could prove he was better than Astrid had been! So, Snotlout pursued them. As he did, though, he was overtaken by pain he had never experienced before. Snotlout didn't know it, but he was undergoing a change similar to what Astrid had undergone. Before he knew what was happening, he had changed into a wolf and was following instinct alone in pursuing the Terrible Terrors.
Before he could attack them, though, Snotlout ended up running into Gobber. The (admittedly goofy) Viking didn't take too kindly to there being a wolf in his presence, not realizing it was Snotlout, and went after the boy-turned-wolf. Snotlout couldn't stop himself from doing what his body wanted him to. He attacked Gobber. Fortunately, since he wasn't used to his body acting on its own he wasn't able to damage Gobber too badly. In the end, he was chased off into the forest where he eventually came to realize what had happened. He'd changed and couldn't go back to Berk without Gobber revealing what had happened. He had to leave.
This was all Hiccup's fault!
With no other choice, and plenty of hatred for his cousin burning deep within him, Snotlout left for good and headed off to find some place to call home.
Family: Spitelout (father)
Element: None
Class: Werewolf
Allies: Yet to be determined. He's kind of a lone wolf... for now, anyway. Might try to follow Astrid.
Enemies: Hiccup
Sample Post: It's that wimp's fault! He's the one that had to be such a strange little freak. Now it's rubbed off on Astrid and I!
Steamed wouldn't even be putting it lightly. Snotlout was infuriated by what had happened. He'd been chased out of his own home (granted, he hadn't been recognizable at the time) and left with nowhere else to go. Now he was living like a beast in the forest. Not a pleasant revelation when he had been so close to becoming next in line to be chief. The only thing going through Snotlout's mind was that it was his cousin's fault. It was all Hiccup's fault. If that little wimp hadn't been so weird...
Snotlout gave a snort of contempt and trudged on through the forest. For the time being, he wasn't in his wolf form. Or was it beast form? Either way, it wasn't pleasant. Snotlout didn't necessarily hate it, but he didn't love it either. On top of that, he was no closer to finding Astrid than he had been when he had first left Berk. Things were going swimmingly.
"I swear, the next time I see that little redheaded twerp I'm going to pulverize him. ...With my face."
