Name: Polka
Age: 14
Movie/Show/Game: Eternal Sonata
Picture:
Other: NA
Personality: Polka is a kind young girl with a strong will. However, she is lacking in the confidence department. Despite that and despite what others think of her, Polka holds a strong desire to help people within her. She is understanding and tends to think of others before herself.
History: Ever since Polka could remember, she had been viewed as different in her little village of Tenuto. This was because she was seemingly afflicted by an illness that was terminal and allowed her to use magic. Magic, even in her home, was a gift considered to be very rare and usually a sign that a person would die soon. Even ignoring this fact, Polka wanted to do what she could to help her family and people around her. However, her good intentions were met with fear by people who didn't know her and thought the disease she had was contagious. Her magic was viewed as a bad thing. Despite this, Polka wanted to go out into the world to help people.
The night she chose to leave, though, things seemed to change right before her very eyes. It was an unusually starry night and, to Polka's surprise, there appeared to be a meteor shower going on right before her. After witnessing it, though, Polka found she felt strange. Her head ached and her body felt strange. Before she knew it, she ended up going back home and collapsing on her bed. When morning came, Polka decided to try and head out again. While traveling through the forest, she happened upon an injured person who had been attacked by a monster. When she went to heal him, Polka found that her powers seemed to be enhanced. She was able to heal his injury completely, which was odd because her healing powers weren't normally so powerful. Fearful of how her powers had enhanced, and not wanting to stick around to wait and be thanked (which she probably wouldn't have been anyway), Polka fled into the depths of the forest.
Polka ended up finding a castle deep in the forest and was met by Mother Gothel. The dark-haired woman welcomed Polka and accepted her as one of her fellow witches after Polka explained what had happened. It was determined her magic had been enhanced because she was a light witch, known for their healing powers, and to her delight Polka was no longer considered terribly strange or worthy of being feared. She decided it would be better to stay with Gothel and the other witches and wizards.
Family: Solfege (mother)
Element: Light
Class: Witch
Allies: Left for roleplay, but I can see her getting along with Rapunzel and Mami
Enemies: Left for roleplay
Sample Post: As Polka lay flopped out on her bed, she found herself wondering about what had happened to her. Her powers had been enhanced, she felt stranger than ever, and yet... she belonged. It was something Polka had been hoping for secretly her whole life. Yet... it felt too strange to be real. Never before had she found herself in a place where her disease didn't seem to matter. It felt right.
"I guess it's not so bad." Polka said. Yes... she had friends for the first time in her life. It was perfect. So what if she was a witch? She belonged.
