Name: Astrid
Age: 15
Movie/Show: How to Train your Dragon
Picture:
Other:
She hasn’t changed much, she looks completely human except she has the ability to show fangs or longer, claw-like, nails at will. Her senses are also heightened and more wolf-like. She can also transform in a light brownish, blonde-ish wolf.
Personality:
Astrid is a determined girl, she tries hard, confident, and has her mind set on the prize. Courageous, and brave, typical viking traits. She's also smart and alert survival traits when it comes to fighting dragons. She's quiet skilled in training, fighting dragons and everything she sets her mind to appear to come easily to her, though it all starts with the determination and the stubborn set of her thoughts. Stubborn as she is, it's only natural she's suspicious, and she doesn't believe anyone has trained harder than herself. Astrid is also very violent natured, not to uncommon for her people, but not very like the fellow teens in her classes. Her favorite quote: "That's for everything else." You can only imagine the pain that, 'that' was. She's aggressive to a degree as well, in a fight, and when it comes to getting the truth.
Now that she’s a werewolf, it seems these personality traits have been heightened with her senses, and more wolf-like and primitive. She has seemed to tap into a more instinctual, primitive, base now that she’s realized what she is, adding wolf like tactics and animalistic thinking to her already feral nature.
History:
Training. All she'd ever done and known. Training to kill the fiercest of beast, the dragons. She'd always been the best of the youths at this skill, able to use brute force as well as wits, though not as witty as Hiccup. She strived to be the best, better than any of the other tribes people. And then one night, the dragons attacked once more. Taking off with livestock and burning huts and homes and food. She'd fought, sure, but she hadn't been able to down a dragon and finish it off. Mostly protecting the livestock and injuring those who came to close to her and the others fighting along side her. And then the dragons were gone, all of them left, the town was put out, but that wasn’t it. She’d heard them, and saw it. The ball of fire that erupted from Hiccup’s hand as a Nightmare chased him. At that moment, the instincts of humans had become present in her. The fear of the unknown strong in her like all those in Berk. In all the years of Vikings, she couldn’t recall anyone spurting flames at will. It was unknown, unheard of, and those were the things humans in general disliked. Then the strangest thing came upon her. Jealousy. But how? How could she be jealous? Hiccup had some odd, unknown ability, scrawny Hiccup, had power.
She had no time to figure any of it out, Hiccup was banished. With that, Astrid believed to be the end of the strangeness in Berk, she could forget Hiccup and that night. She’d failed to see the shooting star, and the impact it had on her. It was the next dragon raid that brought this realization to the surface. A nadder was making advances on one of the other teens, knocking their weapon from hand. Astrid felt the surge of fury and fear that this friend could very well be killed before her eyes. A great ripping sensation came over her, painful and hot, she ran in the direction she’d seen the dragon, blinded by the odd feeling. She felt her jaws encircle a hard, scaly object, crunching through the hard mesh of scales, the soft tissues beneath her fangs bursting in blood. Fangs. There was an audible scream from the teen, and Astrid could no longer remember why she was attacking this beast. Primordial instincts taking over on her first transformation. She believed to be a wolf herself, and continued to paunch attacks on the unknown opponent. A deep pain erupted to her side as a metal blade sliced deep into her ribcage. Astrid turned to face her new opponent, an outraged snarl coming deep within her throat. It was her mother. With that thought, everything came rushing back. The fear and hatred blazing in her mother’s eyes was enough to make Astrid realize what the hell had happened, and she rushed off. Returning that night for some of her things, and favorite weapon tied to her side with a lather strap. She was off than.
She had to leave. It was the only reasonable answer she could come up with. She was a beast and monster, the unknown.
Family: Unknamed Mother and Father
Class: Werewolf
Allies: Hiccup, left to rp
Enemies: Kind of a lone wolf right now, could be anyone xD
Sample Post:
What is wrong with you? Absolutely everything. That's what. Abso-freaking-lutely everything.
The bitter thoughts were running through the blond/brunette wolf's thoughts as she gorged herself on the elk she'd killed. It was a scrawny, scraggly thing that was mostly bone. She couldn't blame it's sad appearance, the forest was horrible, and she had no clue how it supported so much life. The elk hadn't even put up a fight, easily being taken down by the lone wolf. Granted this lone wolf had some human thought processes. She felt the horrific sense of being a monster, yet the gleeful sense of food. Damn wolf thought process. Astrid finished her meal, instinctively wiping her muzzle with her paw as if it were drinking water and clearing he excess on your sleeve. She sighed, the wiping action not effective.
On four legs, Astrid made her way to the meager stream at a steady lope, wiping her muzzle and paw clean before it stained her light fur. She stood out so much in the forest, her light coat contrasting greatly. Astrid switched to her human form, the ripping sensation, heat flash, and temporary blindness and blankness. Her thought process rushed back to her after a few seconds of blankness. Astrid brushed back her hair and into a swiftly made braid and washed her face and hands again. Standing up from the position on her knees, Astrid brushed off the dirt. She really would never get used to being used to being in wolf form. She could hear the snapping of close by mice running for cover. She could smell almost everything, see everything in much more defined detailed. It was terrifying and real.
