This was our home.
It was once known throughout the land that humans and dragons could not get along. The feud between the species had been going on for many generations, and many people were sacrificed to defend their land from what they thought were vicious creatures bent on destroying everything they held dear. I changed all that. My name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, and I am known as Berk's first dragon tamer. I beat the odds and befriended the most mysterious of dragons, the Night Fury, to prove that dragons were more than what they seemed. I proved that dragons and humans could live side by side. Things were going smoothly.
...Then dragons no one had ever seen before came on the scene.
They appeared from out of nowhere and ravaged the land. Lives, both human and dragon, were lost. Now the dragons have taken control of our home. Those of us who survived went out in search for other survivors, and we found them in a land that seemed like the best place to seek refuge. However, there were those among us (and those that were living in the new land already) that turned against the dragons we had tamed. They believed them to be monsters once more, and I had no choice but to take the dragons I believed would stay loyal to us and seek out a place to stay. I don't think dragons are bad creatures. Just misunderstood.
Now we find ourselves divided in this struggle. As the dragons that started all the trouble continue to tear apart our new home, we find ourselves continuing to split apart. There are two groups; those who believe that dragons can be tamed, and those who believe they are monsters unworthy of living.
Whose side are you on? Do you wish to prove that dragons can be good, or do you want them exterminated? How will you survive in a world where the skies always seem to be on fire? This is your story now. It's time to tell it.
