(ooc: July 3, late at night. Closed to Ion and Molly.)
Sitting in the dimly lit garden, Ion found his mind wandering again. This time, though, the boy wasn't preoccupied by the horrid thoughts of war. Instead he was thinking of happier times. Peaceful walks through Daath with Anise and Arietta, those quiet moments in the library when he wasn't studying, the friends he had made while he was alive... Ion fondly remembered it all. And yet, he found himself a little saddened by his thoughts. He would never see any of Daath or his old friends again, and he knew that all too painfully. The light green wings were a very good indicator of that fact. Had he moved on? Not entirely. Ion still did miss the world he had known for fourteen years. He just wasn't willing to dwell on it forever, though.
Ion brought one dainty hand to his mouth, stifling a yawn as best he could before letting the hand drop to his lap again and letting his head droop a little. Tired adviser was tired. He'd stayed up later than usual, but for a good reason. The view of the starry sky from the candlelit gardens was especially beautiful, and Ion didn't like to miss out on the view. So there he was trying to convince himself that he wasn't tired and thoroughly enjoying the view. However, his enjoyment lessened a little after a bit. He could have sworn he heard footsteps approaching the garden.
"Proteus?" Ion called cautiously. He wasn't entirely sure if it was the head angel or not, but if it was he at least wanted to greet him. If it was someone new, though, he would have to apologize for the confusion.

Swinging her legs down from the trees, small blue eyes blinked at the boy before Molly showed her face, it was fun to be able to see things from so high up. "Who's Proteus?" she asked, after jumping down from the tree. "I don't know a Proteus." In fact, it was safe to assume that Molly didn't know much of anyone just yet.
She had been so busy trying to find her parents that no one really sparked her interest. "Hello. I'm Molly. Molly Hale." she took a few steps closer to Ion.

"Oh... I'm sorry. I thought you were someone I knew." Ion said, admittedly feeling a bit sheepish that he had mistaken the girl for the leader of the angels. He'd never seen anyone around like her before. When had she arrived? Well, there would be time for questions later. Ion rose to his feet and offered his adorable little Ion-y smile as Molly introduced herself. She certainly was cute in her own right. Not like Anise or Arietta, but she did remind the green-haired boy of his lost friends. "My name is Ion. I don't believe I've seen you around here before." Ion said at last.
She must be a new angel. Ion realized at last. He had only just noticed the tiny wings protruding from her back. So small and cute... so fitting, he thought. The poor girl... Ion wondered if she knew what had happened to her. He didn't want anyone to be so oblivious to what had happened to them that they walked about in a haze. Lost.
"When did you get here? If you don't mind my asking." Ion said.

Molly shrugged her shoulders. "I've been wanderin' around, not doing much. Looking for my parents, because of these cool birdy wings." she said before spreading them out. "Aren't they adorable, that meteor shower must have given em' to me." she gigged "You haven't seen my mother and father around have you?"
Her blue eyes wide with wonder. "I got seperated from them during a car accident. So, i have been searching." she crossed her arms over her chest. "This arena is so big though, it's not easy finding two people."

"Arena?" Ion asked. It wasn't really an arena. It was just a place where angels could live. The Kingdom was all theirs. He didn't quite know what Molly was talking about when she had referred to it in such a way, but he didn't want to question it too much. It sounded as though she had only just arrived in the Kingdom recently. Ion was only just beginning to realize that maybe she didn't know what had happened to her. She wouldn't have had wings if she hadn't died. Ion didn't want to point that out, though. He didn't want to drop such shattering news down upon her like it was no big deal.
"Well, you're more than welcome to stay here with me. I'm not about to go back the way I came any time soon." Ion said at length. It was true, though. Tired though Ion was, he didn't want to go back to their home yet. He wanted to stay out and enjoy the night. Now that Molly was there, it seemed like things would be more enjoyable.

Molly smiled. "That's certainly very nice of you, but i don't want to impose on you or your friend Proteus." Her father had taught her that manners were important, so even though she was grateful to Ion for telling her that, It just seemed well, awkward. "Do you come here often?" the blonde asked, looking around the area that they were in.
"It's so pretty here."

"Oh, I don't think he'd mind too much. I doubt he's out here at all. He was just the first person that came to mind when I thought I heard someone else here." Ion explained. He really should have known better, though. The head angel needed his sleep, after all, so it was unlikely that he would have been gallivanting around the kingdom in the middle of the night. He wasn't like Emperor Peony supposedly had been. Ion never knew if what he had heard about the Emperor was true or not. He hadn't lived long enough to find out. Proteus, at least, was a dutiful leader and not one to shirk his work. Peony was... an odd ruler, at least from what Ion had heard.
In response to Molly's question, Ion gave a little nod. "I like to come out here when I need time to myself. Coming out here helps me thing. It also helps that it's rather beautiful out here. So much more so than where I came from." Ion said at length. Daath had never had a view of the night sky nearly as lovely as the view he had here. Here... well, Ion just felt so much more free. He was able to see so much more and do so much more that he had never gotten a chance to when he was alive. It was so fulfilling, and yet rather sad.

Molly nodded and gave a bright smile. "It certainly is nice enough for you to come out and think. It's so quiet that you can just let your thoughts be free and no one would judge you for being who you are." she pushed a small strand of blond hair out of her face. She was grateful for Ion's invitation.
"Are you sure that Proteus won't mind?" she asked. "I mean wouldn't it seem weird for him to just allow a girl with bird wings to stay in his home?"

"Oh, I wouldn't worry. This is more common than you would think." Ion replied. They had all been welcomed by Proteus. Allowed to stay in his home. It would only be fair that Molly would also be allowed to stay. After all... she did need somewhere to belong. Otherwise, what would happen to her? With war on the horizon, it was unwise to be on one's own. Ion knew that. "Besides, everyone needs a place to call home. Our castle is big enough for all of us. Even newcomers. It's also very safe. No one really bothers us there." he said.
"Best of all, if you stay with us you can come here whenever you like. That way you can keep on enjoying this view." Ion said. That really was the best part, at least in his opinion. It made everything worth it. "And... I would enjoy the company. It does get rather lonely sometimes, since our group is so small right now." he admitted. Not that Ion hoped more people would die so there would be more angels. He just wished he knew why their group was so small.

"Really?!" her eyes went wide at the mention of coming whenever she wanted. It was certainly a good place to go if she just wanted to relax and think. "I think i will take you up on that offer. I would love to stay. At least for awhile." she smiled brightly before taking a seat. "So, do you have bird wings too or are you something else entirely?" the teenage girl's eyes went wide once again. "Are you some kind of shapeshifter, or maybe a wizard?"

Ion gave a little nod in response as his wings unfurled themselves. There they were in their minty green glory. He had gotten used to them by that point, so there was no reason why he should have felt guilty about them, but he did hesitate at her spoken question. Wizard? Shapeshifter? Did she really have no idea what had happened? Well, Ion supposed it was true enough. He just didn't want to harshly bring down that world upon her. Not like it had been broken all that gently to him. Proteus at least had let him figure it out mostly on his own, coming to the conclusion that he couldn't have been dreaming if he had wings, before explaining he was no more.
"I guess you could say we... I'm an angel of sorts. Because I've been a good person. You must be one, too, because you have wings as well." Ion said. It was the best way he could think of to gently touch on the issue. He didn't want to completely destroy her with the idea that she was technically no longer alive.

"Angel?" the brown haired girl cocked her head to the side. "Don't you have to be dead to be one of those? If that's true, i know i'm not one." she said. Well, at least she was sure of herself that seh wasn't dead. After all, she was here wasn't she and obviously people could see her. and even though things went bad after the accident with the car, the blue eyed girl knew she was in one piece.
"Are you sure you aren't just a human with hummingbird DNA?"

"Pretty sure." Ion replied, laughing just a little as he finished speaking. Being part humming bird would have been amusing somehow. He'd have to fly everywhere! But that wasn't the case. Ion was trying to address the subject gently so as not to jar Molly too much. He didn't want her to freak out like he had when Proteus had confirmed that he was dead. "I think it's more of a terminology thing than anything else. They just call us angels because... we have wings like angels and we w... are good people." Ion said.

"Well, i would hope so. If angels were bad people then they wouldn't be known as angels would they?" Molly asked with a tiny smile. "I don't get it, if we are called angels then are the bad people known as anti-angels or are they demons?" she wasn't sure if angels could be demons, it did seem possible after all.
