She doesn't know. She doesn't know you don't have offensive magic! You may have a chance after all!
Polka raised her umbrella quickly to block the lunge, only to be met with the jolting feeling of her entire body being shaken to the core by metal hitting her precious weapon. So far, though, Polka wasn't having to use her healing skills. Maybe she would get through the fight okay without them. Confidence seemed to have picked up a bit, and a little smile to reflect that formed on her face. "I like to think I'm full of surprises. You'd be surprised how useful umbrella can be." Polka said. For one, it was good for attacking and defending. Although it wasn't open at the moment, when it did open she had a shield. A rather flimsy shield, but no one needed to know that right away.
Is she just toying with you? Or is she waiting for you to lower your defense again? she wondered. In doing so, Polka was leaving herself open to an attack. Little light witch was vaguely aware of this fact, but the fact that she was so unused to fighting made her unaware of when an opponent would actually take the opportunity to strike and when they wouldn't.

Sayaka smirked again, however, this time she raised her sword to attack, only to slam it to the ground, dark shadows formed around her. "You think a light witch can beat me? I might not be as strong as the other demons but i am better with illusions than those ones that are "stronger." this time, the girl struck. Not bothering with the idea of Polka's shield, this time however, she did not use her weapons.
The shadows continued to swirl around the entrance to the castle. "This way we won't have any interruptions."

An uncomfortable went through Polka's being as she watched shadows emerge from the ground. Her blood just about went cold at the mere sight of it, and her grip became considerably more lax on her precious umbrella. She hadn't even thought to open it to protect herself from anything that might have happened. No, the girl was still convinced that if she used brute force (which, normally, wasn't something she would have considered at all) then she would be fine. One thought did manage to worm its way into her main stream of consciousness, though. If Sayaka wasn't actually attacking her, did that mean she was afraid too?
"You... certainly do talk a lot for someone who claims not to be afraid of being beaten." Polka said. Why wasn't she attacking? She had a sword. It had a greater advantage over her than Polka's umbrella ever would, and Polka knew that deep down. So what was holding her opponent back? Shouldn't she have attempted to rip Polka to shreds? Why are you even thinking like that, Polka? Maybe she doesn't want to hurt you. the naive side of her reasoned. Her grip on her umbrella loosened a little more at that notion. Somewhere in the back of Polka's mind was the hope that Sayaka really wasn't so bad. The hope that maybe the blue-haired girl was just putting on an act to scare her for whatever reason was strong within her.
"We don't have to fight like this. I realize you want to, and I certainly won't hold back should that still be the case, but if you'd just listen to me..."

"Listen...listen?" Sayaka asked, stopping from her attack and stared at the girl. "Listen to you?" a dangerous smile appeared on her lips. "Oh that is rich." the insane laughter came out of her mouth again. "After all you witches have done to me, you think that i will just stop from this. Oh that's a good one. For a witch i'm surprised you have the gall to talk back to me even that one witch i finished off two days ago didn't do that!"
The laughter still came from her mouth as she gripped her swords tighter. This time, when she attacked she aimed for Polka's feet.

Polka didn't have the opportunity to react to Sayaka's attack. Her blade succeeded in tripping the blonde up, and before Polka knew it she was reeling over backwards and flailing her arms in an attempt to keep from falling over. The attempt was an absolute failure. Mere moments after the initial shock, Polka was easily knocked over. The blonde cringed visibly as she hit the ground, but it didn't appear as though she had suffered any serious injuries. This honestly surprised Polka. She had thought she would have been cut or something.
Still, though, she was dazed from the impact with the ground. Polka, needless to say, was not the sort of girl that was one to run with the guys. She was a dainty sort of girl, and as such she wasn't used to such rough treatment. Dazed though she was, Polka at least was able to try and get to her feet after a few moments. She really didn't have anything to say anymore. She was too stunned by what Sayaka had said. She... she had attacked another witch?
Polka wanted to ask if that was true, but pain lingering in her body from the impact with the ground shut her up sufficiently. All she could do was try to adjust her grip on her weapon, useless though the action seemed, and try to hold her ground. She couldn't let on that she didn't have any offensive magic. She just couldn't...

"Wow..." Sayaka said, her voice still low and full of insanity. "You truly are the worst witch i have ever faced. At least that Anri girl put up a fight, but what do you do?" she pointed the sword at Polka's face. "You attack me with an umbrella." she closed her eyes for a moment trying to think of something else to say.
It was her job, play with her opponent, before she killed them, get them to think really hard if they wanted to die screaming or be saved. The shadows stayed where they were for a moment before disappearing. "I only wish i could say that you would have been a fun target but sadly...that's not the case."
She raised the blade over her head. "Shall i kill you slowly or quickly to get it over with?"

Sky blue eyes were wide with fear. She didn't dare move, mainly out of fear, and stared up at the blade. She wasn't going to die. Polka wouldn't allow herself to. Even if she was too trusting for her own good, she didn't want to die. Especially not at the hands of someone who seemed crazy with the desire to kill her. Even if Polka was afraid, she had to do something to protect herself.
"I... I..."
NO. Don't stammer. You have to be like Astrid. Be brave!
Without thinking, Polka squeezed her eyes shut and swung her umbrella at Sayaka again in the vain hope that she would dislodge her opponent's weapon. If that failed... well, all she could do was hope that her umbrella would hold out against the sword.

The witch hunter snarled at the witch's weapon once again, getting hit but barely losing her grip on her weapon. The dark look in her eyes returned before slashing at the girl's arm. She would show no mercy. None at all.
"Wow...your blood is so...pretty..." sayaka said with a sick twisted smirk. "Much like that girl's yours is red like roses..."

For a single moment, everything seemed to freeze. Polka, so used to the simple life of Tenuto and never having to face a threat even once in her life, saw her blood splash against the ground as the blade struck her arm. In that singular moment, it seemed as though everything around her had become muted. Silent. Then time went back to normal. Searing pain hit Polka and filled her entire being. And yet... she couldn't find it in her to cry out. No shocked cry. No cry of pain. Just silence as Polka succumbed to the pain and sank to her knees. The only thing she could think of to do immediately was bring her free hand to the cut arm to stop the bleeding.
What are you doing? You're a healer! Heal yourself!
This was the problem with not having any offensive magic. Polka would be leaving herself wide open to any attack as she fought her desire to heal herself. Despite that, she knew she would have to heal herself at some point. She didn't want the others to worry about her. Typical Polka; she always put the needs of others before her own, and sooner or later she was afraid it would lead to a downfall most unfitting. But despite that, she couldn't fight her desire. She had to heal herself.
Forgetting all about the tactic of opening her umbrella to use as a shield, Polka squeezed her teary eyes shut and tried to concentrate her efforts on a healing spell. It had to be potent enough to make the wound seal, but not draining enough to cause her to faint from an overuse of magic. All the while, of course, she neglected that she had let her guard down.

"You had so much potential." Sayaka muttered sadly to herself. "It's a shame i will have to kill you before you become one of the ones i would live to kill over and over again." She raised the blade once again. Now was her chance. To end it all. One witch down, the others to go. It all seemed so simple.
She brought down the blade towards Polka one more time, this would be a strike that ended it all, she was sure of it. No witch would ever get in Sayaka's way ever again!

Astrid had been dragging herself through the forest all day in search of the little game that dared live in what barely fit the definition of forest. It seemed woods was an exaggeration. Someone needed to come up with a word that described a dirt landfill littered with trees and sparse, barely clinging to life under growth. Not to mention the boney game that fed on the greens they could find. The trees were almost naked and it was only summer and in the thickest of clumps could be found the best shade. The thickest of clumps were also cluttered around water, not that Astrid could blame their location, lucky saplings. So Astrid meandered along the border of her territory and the Black Castle's. There was more shade here, the grounds better looking by the castle than the entire forest combined. Thus, the trees there gave the illusion of a lush forest of greens and life. The truth though was like passing through an invisible wall, now you see the greens, now you don't. There was no time to dwaddle on this though, as Astrid's blue eyes searched through the trees, wolf form slinking in the shadows and watching for a familiar, somewhat waddling form of a viking red head.
Becoming more bold and impatient though, the canine girl broke from the trees. Maybe the golden haired witch would be out there to alert Hiccup of the werewolf's presence? Maybe even her witch look alike? Or was she the look alike... No need to get into such topics, though it would be a great thing to mull over in her otherwise bored brain. Though the universe as Hiccup might have put it, had much 'better' plans.
"It's a shame i will have to kill you before you become one of the ones i would live to kill over and over again."
Astrid's first thought was to run towards whatever murder had come to the castle. Her second though was cursing Hiccup with every fiber of her being for getting caught in such a situation. Again. Though, this time she'd have a say as to what happened to him. After all who's misfortune could it be to have been attacked near their own grounds? Obviously the red head had run into better luck though. As Astrid flung herself in full fury into the view of the attacked and attackee, a savage snarl ripping from her throat.
Then silence.
It hadn't been who she'd initially though would be there, the one who would have their life leeched. It was her look a like, Polka. The hesitation didn't last long, she still had the element of surprise. So with another burst of fury and amazing speed and agility, the fae ran at the demon, jaws open wide, reaching for the hilt of Sayaka's blade. Than continuing with her momentum, she wheeled on her heel and leaped at a diagonal, lower body slanted inwardly in order to rake her back legs against the demon, fore legs outstretched for a better way to knock the demon over. Not to mention her entire body weight aiming for the girl, jaws outstretched and lips writhing in a menacing snarl.
The ferocious sounds were ripping from her throat, vibrating the scruff around her neck, eyes glinting malignantly and fluffy, blonde ears pinned tightly against her skull. Blue eyes burning and cold, as contradictory as that was. There was no better way to describe the look on her face. Surely hiding any emotion besides the blood lust and careful calculating of a more intelligent being than a normal wolf. She'd lost her ability to fight with an axe, seeing as she was without, and nor was she capable of owning and caring around a large weapon constantly. Not including her ripping fangs and racking claws. Of course not as strong as a felines', yet it was something. That, her better senses, and speed were also large factors to her success in fighting as a canine.
Landing on four feet she tilted her hips and left a dirt rut in the ground from her feet clinging to the ground despite their want to flail about from her speed, continuing to try and move her from harms way. Though the subtle hip move and her paws almost sticking to the ground, and her body was swung in a semi circle to face the demon.
A mocking smile fused with her snarl and bared fangs. "I don't think I was invited to this little party. Sorry for my rude interrupting. I should of introduced myself first." The canine though, gave no indication that this was her intention, as her muscular legs pushed from the ground for another chance at the demon's throat.

Sayaka turned to the newcomer with a dark smirk. "No problem at all, i was expecting more unexpected guests actually. So i am glad that i don't have to wait much longer for this party to really get started." she pointed her blade at the werewofl girl. "My name is Sayaka Miki, and i will be glad to take your life."

...What was happening? Polka had been so concentrated on trying to make her wound stop bleeding that she hadn't quite heard what was being said. Her first instinct was that she had already died and that she was elsewhere, but the throbbing pain in her arm indicated that that was not the case. At length, Polka opened her teary eyes again to see what was happening. A soft gasp escaped her when she caught sight of Astrid. The werewolf had shown up after all! So, she hadn't been crazy in initially wondering if Hiccup's friend would drop by to check on him or not. She couldn't say that she wasn't happy to see Astrid, either. Being rescued was definitely a plus.
Polka wanted to say how happy she was to see Astrid, especially after finding herself forced in a fighting situation, but there were no words that she could think of to even say. That, and pain had stolen her will to speak a great deal. She couldn't just stay in that spot, though. Not while things were growing more dangerous. So, dazed though she was from concentrating so hard on trying to use a more powerful spell to heal her wound, she got up off the ground and backed off a little. She didn't want to accidentally become involved in the fighting. Besides... what use was a healing light witch to someone in the midst of a battle?
Maybe you should be prepared to heal her. Just in case. she told herself. Forgetting her own injury, Polka decided to keep her eyes on the fight. Just in case Astrid ended up being more reckless than Polka would have liked. "Be careful, Astrid! She's strong!" Polka finally called. ...How was she to know how strong Sayaka was? She'd only ascertained that much from a brief battle, and even that hadn't been much to determine the witch hunter's capabilities. She still felt the need to say it, though. Just to at least acknowledge that she had acknowledged Astrid's presence and that she was concerned for her well being.

"And I'll gladly return the favor." Astrid snarled back, hackles raising along her spine, tail raised defiantly. The blonde did take a moment to absorb Polka's advice. Polka wasn't the... strongest, so who was she to judge this opponent's abilities? Than again Polka knew Astrid's strength to an extend, the girl wasn't ignorant. Flashing a smile, one that didn't look to pleasant as it was mixed in with the malice and defiance toward her opponent flashed towards Polka.
"Are you doubting me?" She chided in the lightest tone she could manage, and in confidence. Astrid then began her imagined slaughter of this witch hunter. Darting in her canines itched to rip away at the demon, though she was somewhat restrained. She'd heard of the bad demon blood inflicted. The temptation, however, was to much to not use her teeth. So the teen opted for lighter gashed, leaving her teeth clean of blood. Irritating openings that might eventually lead to blood loss. The werewolf could only hope. Her canine body moved evasively, awaiting the sting of the blade, inevitably falling to her sides, back, legs. It was virtually impossible to walk away unscathed, Astrid was no exception.
Plus, where was the fun in that?
Astrid let herself into an invisible circle, Sayaka being the middle point she revolved around. Then, suddenly, she sprang towards the demon as if a line tethered to the demon had been pulled tight and Astrid merely obeyed the momentum pulling her forward. Teeth aimed for vitals and the face, long nails shooting out to scratch as much as she could. Her claws, however weren't as effective as her teeth nor any feline's retractable weapons. Not to mention her barreling weight propelling toward the demon.
