"I think...they're evolving," she said, "Making themselves organized makes them stronger. That or someone is holding leverage over them in order to remain in control. There are thousands of possiblitles. There's always just them being them or maybe needing something more than mindless killing, oh...I'm rambling again."
She placed her hand over her mouth and sighed. There was no winning here. She couldn't really understand the demons, then again no one could.

Rex smiled. "Don't worry about it Xia, we all rant when we have to." he took off his googles before relaxing on the couch. "So, hear anything from Doc or Six today while i was out saving the world?" Save Providence save the world. That's what Six had told him. Yet, Providence did not appear to be in danger at all. He would do it. No matter what.
"That could be a reason or they are just sick twisted buttheads."

Xia shook her head, "Ever the optimis (sp?). And no nothing from providence. It's entirely silent out there."
She picked a hoodie off the ground and slipped it on. It was slightly cold in their little building, but nothing too bad.
"Head on to bed," she said, "I've got some resurch to do."

"You sure?" Rex asked. He didn't feel comfortable letting her out there with demons, especially with ones like Thrax out there. "I can go with you, i don't mind at all." he said giving her a smile, even after a fight the boy could do it, despite being exhausted.

Xia rolled her eyes and pulled out a dagger, "I'm a big girl Rex. I can handle myself. You go rest. I've got this. Besides, I have telekinetic powers."

"Big girl huh?" Rex asked with a chuckle. "If you need anything you know how to get a hold of me." he said pointing at his head, "I doubt i need to give you my number do I, i think you already have it." He placed a hand on her shoulder before smirking again. "I don't want to have to explain to your aunt what happens if you come in bleeding or dead from a demon."
Now that was what a true monster would look like it. He shivered at the thought of Dr. Holiday coming in a furry of rage.

Xia laughed lightly and patted his hand, "If I do, she'll gueld you where you stand."
The girl removed his hand from her shoulder and headed out the door into the night. There wasn't much light out, so she took the lamp by the door and disapeared into the black.

Rex nodded. "I think she might be a demon when she's angry Xia, she scares me." he shivered before giving her a wave and heading out into his bedroom to lay down for awhile. Demon hunting always made him exhausted and though he had done it more times than he could think, it was always the same story.

Xia made her way back into the building. No luck finding any demons, but she was able to find where Rex had fought with Thrax. It was late, so the girl went quietly around her home and picked up a few books on demons. Hoping to find something more on the demons' queen.

Rex lay against the couch with his head proped up on his arms. "Hey Xia, can i ask you a question?" he asked. "You don't have to answer it if you don't want to but still, just thought i would ask since you know, you have all your memories." the warm smile was kept on his face and he kept his eyes closed but he knew that Xia would be busy trying to figure out the demon queen thing.

Xia jumped slightly but turned to face Rex, "Of course Rex."
She made her way over to the couch so she could hear him a little better. To tired to just read his thoughts, it was easier this way.

"What were our parents like?" he asked. "I mean i know that they were scientists, but what were they like. Do we take after them at all?" the question had been one that always seemed to be in his head but he never wanted to ask it. It seemed like an akward question to ask Holiday or Six so Xia seemed like the next best person.

"They where nice and kind," Xia said, "I can't remember much now though...it's sort of fading. I know that your dad was a lot like you and that your mom was really funny. Mine where smart and resorseful, not really jokers but they got along with yours. So yes, we take after them." She smiled at the boy.

"Good. I was nervous that we didn't take after them." he hadn't thought he would say that, after all he barely remembered them so it was an odd statement. Rex smiled at Xia. "So, anything out on the patrol?" the idea of having demons around town would not settle well with him.

"Nothing," Xia said, "I went all the way to town, but i didn't pick up on anything. Nothing from Providence either." She let a yawn escape as she rubbed at her forehead. There was so much to think about.
