(ooc: June 14th, shortly after Scouting For Possible Targets, Open for Rex and Xia and anyone else that wants to go into it)
It had been a long fight and it seemed odd that the demon had let Rex live, after all that fighting it wasn't even good enough to defeat him. Yet, the boy had learned something. There were powerful demons out there and there was a queen. Something like that seemed wrong to him, the demons that he had encountered, they hadn't done anything without orders from anyone. No demon would ever take orders from someone else.
Pushing the door open, he knew he would be expecting a call from Six or Holiday sometime soon, but now he just wanted to relax and try to make sense of what Thrax had told him

Xia stood in the hallway, her arms crossed lightly over her chest and a bag of fist aid supplies in her right hand. She gave Rex a look and pointed to a couch. She knew he knew exactly what was coming, and frankly she didn't want to hear from her aunt.
"Rex...I'm about ready to kill you," she said, trying to stay calm, "Do you know what the statistics are for your death when you leave here without letting me come with you? Three out of five! Thats a bit over half!"

"I say about 99 out of 100." Rex said to Xia with a smile before laying on the couch. "You don't have to fix me up Xia, the demon surprisingly didn't give me any bruises. Though my shirt could use a bit of fixing up." he said slipping his jacket off.
"Look before you get into this, i was just wondering what was going on in the forest, you know a casual walk but then i sensed a demon and you know i can't back down from a challenge."

"Still you could have let me know," she said sitting on the ground next to him, "I can't stay in your head all day. It's scary in there sometimes."
She looked at his jacket and using her powers sent it to hang on the peg near the door. She couldn't help but wonder why demons seemed to find, or rather Rex seemed to find, each other so often. It wasn't normal, nothing was anymore though.
"So why did you leave in the first place? You know as well as I do they love this area," she said.

Rex shrugged. "You know how boring it is, to sit here and wait for a job?" he asked. "It's boring as hearing one of Six's lectures, that's saying something since Six is so old school." the boy rolled his brown eyes. "I would have let you know but i don't know...sometimes i just gotta get away from it all." he smirked. "My head is not that bad, you just choose to go into the disturbing ones."
The boy looked around the demon hunting building, they hadn't called it anything too specific. In fact, Xia had suggested not labeling the demon hunting service, it would be obvious. Yet, people knew where to find them

Xia rolled her eyes, "He's not old school, he's cultured. Something I shouldn't expect from you. And it's not like I want to see inside your head. That's just wrong."
She got up off the floor and headed to the kitchen, grabbing a plate of food for Rex she handed it to him and sat back down. She couldn't help but feel like he was more injured than he let on. His shirt did seem pretty recked, and knowing Rex he was just being cocky.
"Tomorrow's the day right?" she asked, "The day our parents died?"

Rex looked up at her. "Is that tomorrow?" he asked. "I suppose it is...not exactly a day i want to remember." Not that he could remember it anyways. He shook his head, he wished he could remember his parents especially what they were like. The boy rubbed his arms for a moment. "Do you think that we're doing them proud?"
It was a strange question that he would have never asked anyone other than Xia. Six didn't understand and he couldn't talk to Holiday about it. Even now talking about his parents seemed odd and discomforting

"Sure," Xia said, "I mean technically we're doing the world a great survice. I mean...I can't read the minds of the dead, but I'm sure we are!"
She sat next to him and placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. Rex was her closest friend, and their parents where close as well. She couldn't remember a time without Rex nearby. Which was probably why she was scared when he didn't tell her what was going on.

Rex smiled. "I hope you can't otherwise i don't think i want to know what the dead are thinking. That's kind of creepy." he shivered at the thought before giving her a weak smile and then he looked at his hands again.
"Xia, the demon i met in the forest today, he wasn't like the others..." he started. "He could talk, and was stronger than the others." the raven haired teen looked around the building again. "The demons i have faced, they never talked or even could fight back. This one was different. He was stronger, darker and not normal.""

Xia's brow furrowed, her lips pulling down into a frown. A demon that could talk and fight back? It wasn't impossible, but it wasn't really plausable either. She took Rex's hands and moved infront of him. Looking up, she locked her eyes with his in order to see what he had. She and missed most of the fight looking for him around the building, now was her chance to get to know what he had seen. Her eyes went slightly glassy as they flicked back and forth, as if they where reading the text on the page. Rex could leave while she was like this, all she truly needed was the initial locking.

Rex had been at first freaked out by the powers Xia had demonstrated but now he had been used to it. He just watched her for a few moments. "They have a ruler too, since when do demons take orders from someone else. More importantly a queen." he shook his head slowly. It wasn't natural, what kind of sick world was this.
"I don't like it Xia."

Xia shook her head and blinked, ending the connection, "A queen, order...this is different."
She stood up and started pacing, closing her eyes for consentration. It didn't really make sence. There wasn't very much to go on, and she didn't want to risk either of their saftey, but they needed to learn more about this.
"We need to catch a demon."

"and how do you propose we do that?" Rex asked. "Demons don't just come to us like a christmas present from santa." he was angry about what had happened. "This is not going to be an easy job Xia, we have to be...careful and ready for anything." his eyes went wide. "Oh my gosh, i sounded just like Six. I think that demon might have caused me to think Logically Xia."

"Oh god i hope so," she said with a smirk, "That would be a god send."
She giggled slightly and gave Rex a look, "I know that we need to be careful Rex. That's why we need to know why the demons are following a queen."

"Oh ha ha. You are so hilarious." Rex said with as much sarcasm as possible but he couldn't help by smile at his old friend. He started pacing the room for a moment or two trying to figure out the reason why demons would follow someone. "Why do you think that demons would follow someone else?" he asked.
The answers seemed obvious like power but somehow that wasn't seem what the other demon said.
