(For any of the werewolves to get to know Taiga better. Takes place June 28.)
Taiga sat just inside of one of the starlit cave branch offs. She had a wooden sword resting in her lap, a cloth with polishing oil on it in her other hand. Her hair was tied away from her face, the back of her head currently resting on the wall behind her. Her eyes were closed and she was lightly sleeping. To on edge for the past few nights to really sleep much. Her ears strained to hear any possible attackers, then again not many races knew about the werewolf hide out.

Footsteps on stone were heard as a figure made his way through the caverns. He had one hand on the hilt of his black bladed sword and another on his boomerang tied to his waist. He nervously glanced around, not really knowing who was there or not. He gave a small gulp, then walked into further into the dimmed cave. He didn't even know his back was turned to a sleeping form, one of the girl he had met just a few days before. He then tripped over a small stone jutting from the floor and his face met the slab of rock with a loud smack. He lay there, giving only a muffled moan to see if he was still living.

Taiga jumped into a squatting position and held her sword in front of her. Looking around she spotted Sokka face down in the dirt. Letting out a relieved sigh, she put her sword down and crept over to him. Cocking her head to the side she watched him and smirked, "So...kinda a klutz huh? Need some help up?"

Sokka looked up to see that one girl from before. The short one. He shook his head. "Nah, I'm good."
He pushed himself up to a standing position, slightly off balanced. He looked down at her. "So, I uh, heard that you had a spot open in your pack? I'm a terrible hunter in these woods, I'm so used to snow. So, I really need somebody who could teach me how to be better at it. Hunting, I mean."
He rubbed the back of his head. He was rather awkward talking with girls as most of the ones he knew where at least in a six year time difference, excluding his sister.

"And here I thought you wanted me and my dad dead," Taiga said crossing her arms with a smile, "Sure, don't mind Sinbad though. He just hates kids. No idea why."
The brunette wasn't really sure why he seemed so nervous, then again she was usually the one making people like that. Not that she wanted to, it just happened. He wanted to be in the pack to learn to hunt. If he left after than it be fine, she'd like it if he'd stay though. Having a larger pack was always good.
"I'll teach you how to hunt," she said, her smile shifting to a frown.

The teen gave a goofy grin. Sure, perhaps the hunting thing was just a lame excuse to find himself in protection, but at least it worked. He immediately widened his eyes at her first sentence, but realizing it to be a joke. "Kill you? Why would I want to do that?"
He gave a small smile, finding himself relaxing slightly as he realized that she seemed to be alright. She was pretty cool for someone he barely knew. He immediately noticed her change of face. He blinked, confused. "Something wrong?"

"Huh?" Taiga asked shaking her head, "No, everything's fine. Let's find you some where to sleep in here."
Slipping her sword onto her back she motioned for him to walk along with her. All though he seemed okay, she couldn't trust him at her back just yet. He had tried to attack Sinbad after all. Most of the caves where empty or caved in. She figured they could start at the back and work forward. Seeing his goofy grin reminded her of Minori, and made her slightly more relaxed.
"Come on it's a big cave."

Sokka had no idea why, but she seemed to have mixed feelings emanating from her. It was wierd, but he had always been able to tell how people were feeling just by the way they composed themselves. He noticed that she had a sword. Although a wooden one, it would probably do well in a fight. Perhaps he could spar with her? After all, that traveling swordsman had taught him how to fight.
He peeked around the corner, looking into the one that she was showing him. He walked in with a slightly open mouth. It was a really big cave, bigger than most of the igloos he had slept in. He looked at her in shock. "Would this be just for me?"
Usually, at least four people shared a living space smaller than this. He looked at the walls in amazement, seeing a strange marking. He leaned forward, getting a better view of it. A wolf's head..... strange. He shrugged, then turned to look at the whole thing from a specific angle. That little up rise cold serve as something he could sleep on while the dip in the middle would do well for a fire pit. He glanced up, seeing light from the moon coming in from a large hole in the roof. He scratched his chin, already devising a way to stop rain from pouring in. He decided that some furs could be pinned up on the walls and he could easily make other necessities for it such as a shelf to hold his valuables, a pair of hooks to hold up his sword to the wall, and perhaps he could ask someone where to find a map of this whole place. After all, he was a stranger in a strange land and knowing where was where would serve him well in the long run. "If I could, I would love this place."
He looked at her. "Anyways, I never caught your name. Mine's Sokka."
He offered a hand forward.

Taiga paused for a moment, watching Sokka muse about the cave. Most of the branch offs were pretty large, she found it kind of funny he was awed by that though. At his question she nodded, "All yours unless you want some one in it with you."
She kept watching as he walked around the cave. Leaning against the rock wall she turned her attention to the actual cave it's self. Gems of all shapes and sizes littered the ceiling giving it the appearance of the night sky. Taiga wondered what kind of gems where up there, ignoring Sokka for the time being as her mind slipped into the night the meteor hit. It took her a moment to realize that Sokka was talking to her. Shaking her head she turned and looked at him.
"Oh, I'm Aisaka Taiga," she said, using the Japanese way of introducing herself, "Taiga is m first name though."
She looked at his hand for a moment before placing her's into it.

Sokka shook it with a smile. First name said after the last? Must be a foreign custom. Perhaps it happened here or wherever she came from. "Okay Taiga, looks like I'm staying for now. Nice to meet you."
He walked into the center and looked straight up into the hole into the ceiling. The crescent moon was waning, thankfully it meant that he wasn't required to change. He looked down with a small smile. "Hey, you guys got a way to get up there? On top of the cave I mean."

Nice to meet her? That was a first for the girl, "No...we don't. Not that I know of, unless you want to jump through the holes in the ceiling." She crossed her arms and looked around. They could climb but that seemed dangerous.

He chuckled and just sat on the little rise of rock. "Guess I'll have to make some kind of ladder. After all, I'm going to need to build something that will keep the rain out, yet allows the smoke to escape. I'm thinking of using that spot right there for a fire." He pointed at the section of floor he was talking about.
He tapped his chin, already devising what he could do. "Anyways, so you sure your dad won't mind?"

Taiga couldn't stop the scoffing laugh that escaped, "Pfft, no. You might have heard him when we met, he doesn't care. You're my responsibility, you just need to stay out of his way."
She looked at the spot where he pointed and nodded, "It'd be a good spot for a fire. Need any help moving in?"

Her responsibility? That sounded the slightest bit uneasy. Well, as long as he stayed withn the parameters of the pack, he guessed he would be okay. His ears perked as he realized that she was offering to help him move in. "Sure. But, what you see is all I have. I have a few ideas on how to make this place a bit more homey, but I need to learn how to hunt and stuff like that first to get the things I need."

Taiga smiled and nodded, "Sure. Let me just go put my sword away."
She turned and headed back towards the entrance, the second opening on the left was her home. Leaning her sword against the wall, she looked at her place. A bed was in the center of the room and that was basically it. There was a curtain separating it from the main cavern, so pushing through that once again she went to wait for Sokka.
