(ooc: July 6. At the same time as Sound the Drums of War. For the witches and wizards that didn't go out to join in the fight, and for those coming back from the fight.)
So, it had come to this. Gothel wasn't necessarily happy about it. She sat at a window, one hand resting against her face while the other lay in her lap, and let a soft sigh pass her lips. They shouldn't have been fighting at all. It wasn't the witches and wizards' battle. No, Gothel was still firmly convinced that the demons had something to do with the whole beginning of the war. But could she do anything about it? No. There wasn't a single iota of difference she could make by standing up and trying to prove the demons did anything, especially because a fight had already broken out. Gothel hadn't sent anyone that she could think of to participate in the fighting. It wasn't their battle. They had no real reason to participate.
...Yet something was bothering the head witch. There was one thought tugging at the back of her mind that she couldn't seem to shake, and it was beginning to get on her nerves. Things almost seemed to quiet right then. Was it the tension in the air brought on from knowing there was a battle not far from their home? Was it the fact that she was so stressed by the whole thing? Gothel couldn't give an honest answer even if she tried. She had no idea what had brought on the silence. All she knew was that something felt off. Almost like... someone was missing who shouldn't have been.
"I'm probably just imagining it. No one else is missing." Gothel murmured. Polka, Arthur, and even Angel were all accounted for. Rapunzel was sure to be there as well, along with all the others. Yes, Gothel felt certain that she was worrying over nothing. ...Or was she? "I should have gone out there. Then I'd know for sure." she murmured. It was a good cause for concern when she began to murmur to herself like that. Gothel was just about ready to get up from her spot and leave the castle to join the fight. But something held her fast in that spot. The fact that she couldn't just leave without putting someone in charge.
A groan escaped the head witch. Why did things have to be so complicated? Furthermore... where was everyone? She began to wonder if more witches and wizards had gone out to fight even though she hadn't asked anyone else to. She was getting so deep into thought at that moment that she didn't hear that someone else had actually entered the room she was in.
(ooc: It could be anyone showing up. Go nuts!)

Wilbur walked out of his room, he was probably glad that he had not gone to the fight. Yet, he had wanted to so badly. A sinking feeling was in his stomach that something had gone wrong. He wasn't sure why, things like this normally didn't bother him, there were wars in video games. Magic was in video games.
Yet, this was no video game. It was really happening. "Do you think that we'll win?" he asked coming up to Gothel. "This war i mean."

Well, that certainly had gotten her out of her thoughts. Steely blue gaze shifted from the world outside the castle to Wilbur and, for a beat, she remained silent. Gothel was considering his question. The teen probably had never had to fight a day in his life before. Now... well, he should have hoped that he and his familiar had a strong bond. At length, Gothel removed her hand from her face and shook her head. "I honestly don't know. We shouldn't even be involved with this fight at all. But no. They had to bring it to the woods." Gothel said. Complaint was obvious in her tone. She hated the fact that they were getting involved in the fighting at all. Obviously she could have gone there herself and done more damage to whoever was out there, but she chose not to. The same way she had chosen not to keep Mami from going.
"I suppose it would be too much to ask if you knew where the others were right now." Gothel said. She was merely guessing. Why would one wizard know where all the others were at one time? It would have been insane.

Wilbur nodded his head for a moment considering her words. Why would it matter if the fighting was in the woods? Wasn't it just the werewolves home? "Mami is in the library reading or something like that, Marie is in Courtney's room, as for the others I don't know. I think Wuya or whatever that's lady's name is might be in the garden or looking around."
His brown eyes glanced out to the forest. "As for the others, i am not sure. Do you think that the demons killed that woman?" As always, the boy was filled with questions, which mainly came as a problem to most adults

(ooc: I thought Mami was still in Sound the Drums of War.)
Gothel nodded slowly, listening to what Wilbur had said. It all made sense. So far, no one he had listed seemed to readily jump out in her mind as one that would do something reckless. It would be stupid to assume that any of her students, old and young alike, would do something as foolhardy as going out to fight. But since the woods were so close to the castle, and since she knew it wouldn't be out of the question for any witch or wizard to want to wander, there was always the possibility that someone had gone out into the woods unaware of what was going on. Gothel only knew what was happening because she had noticed things had seemed oddly quiet. With the tension in the air... well, Gothel could at least confirm the fighting was close by.
"At least it sounds like no one was foolhardy enough to think they could go out there and fight entirely on their own." Gothel murmured. She still couldn't shake the nagging feeling at the back of her mind, though. Something was off. She just couldn't place what that was. Rapunzel definitely wouldn't have gone without her telling her to. Arthur was just a shapeshifter. He couldn't defend himself all that well, so he probably was still in the castle. Polka... well, the young blonde teenager was frail. Gothel didn't think Polka would do anything reckless. Angel...
Just as Gothel began to wonder about the little golden furred pup, Angel made her appearance. She walked into the room and came to a stop near Wilbur, but said nothing. Well, that was one less person to worry about. But... who was she forgetting? There were so many witches and wizards among her ranks that it was hard to keep track. "Do you know what anyone else is doing right now?" Gothel asked.

(ooc: oh dur. I forgot i added her in there)
"Uh," Wilbur muttered nervously. What was he going to say? Mami snuck out to fight vampires and demons? She had asked Wilbur to lie for her, and say she was in the library. Normally this would have been no problem for the teen but Gothel had a way of...creeping him out. He didn't like lying to her in fact he found it nearly impossible to do so.
"You know what i think i hear my homework calling me." he said nervously before trying to run out of the room before Gothel could ask him anything else

"Hold it boy. I think you need to answer Gothel's question" A dark but calm voice responded. Out in the shadows and quite behind Wilbur was Facilier. Gothel's so-called right hand man. He unlike gothel wasn't worried, in fact was fully confident in the battle playing out. All he cared about was the goal in hand. Winning the war. His ally gothel however was worried. So Wilbur was asked a question so it seemed fit to answer the question.
"Sorry for imposing so subtly" Facilier replied to both gothel and wilbur tipping a hat and smiling a tad "Bad force of habit" XXXX Ironically enough, another figure appeared to the shadows but she said nothing but only looked to the window in fear. Lilo wasn't confident at all, she was actually frightened of the whole war in general. All she wanted was her powers fixed nothing more. She looked to Wilbur for a bit and tried to smile, she clearly was trying to be brave

Well, that certainly didn't raise any questions. No sir. None at all. Gothel glanced back at Wilbur, one eyebrow arched in a confused manner while her eyes narrowed slightly, and a frown appeared on her face. "You know something, don't you." it wasn't a question. More of a statement than anything else. His tone and sudden nervous behavior seemed to give it away. Someone must have gone out to fight after all. Gothel wasn't as furious as one would have thought she would be, but she was displeased. Lying wasn't something she really took very well.
"If you're afraid I'll get mad, then don't worry. I won't. I simply want to know if you know anything." Gothel said. Her tone didn't seem to indicate that she would flip out if anyone really had disappeared from the castle. So long as they didn't end up picking a fight they couldn't win...
Who are you kidding? Most of them are just kids. They barely have a handle on their powers.
That was the real reason Gothel didn't want to actively be involved in the fighting. She thought she could handle herself just fine. The younger witches and wizards, however, were another matter entirely. It was one thing to go out on her own. It was entirely another to send children who barely knew how to control their own skills into the heat of battle. Even if Facilier was confident, Gothel had her reasons to be concerned. Even though her expression didn't give way to her thoughts this time, Gothel was sincerely hoping no one was doing anything reckless out there. That would easily warrant her wrath upon whoever was foolhardy enough to think they could handle themselves on their own in a fight that wasn't even theirs.

Facilier only watched for Wilbur's expressions. Gothel was right. The shadowman had some pychic ability along with lilo so he could tell the boy was lying somehow. Gothel's calm features didn't really fool him either. He knew her too well. She was worried. He gave her kudos to try to be as regal as possible. That didn't stop him though to speak to wilbur "Well boy? You have something you're hiding. I'd advice you to tell us" XXX Lilo was tempted to say what wilbur was thinking but she knew that it would only get the boy in trouble. Lilo was only watching and waiting for what was going to happen. She wasn't even in the situation and she was concerned. Mostly because, although she liked Facilier she never wanted to test the impatient man

"Mami and Hiccup went out to the battlefield, i wanted to go to but Mami wanted me to stay here. I mean i am not their baby sitter its not like i cared what they did, besides if they kick butt that's what matters right?" Wilbur said. Crap. Worse liar in the face of history. Mami was sure to get mad at him, though that was probably really rare considering Mami hardly ever got mad.
"I mean, we should be fighting out there, not being stuck in here!"

"What?" Facilier's expression of patience and tolerance changed entirely. The thing about hiccup and Mami leaving to fight wasn't a problem in Facilier's mind but disobeying orders was. If gothel wanted them to stay he was supposed to make them stay. Now they were in danger. This made things complicated
If they don't die those two are gonna get a hell of a lot from me He thought as a sneer came on his face XXX "Are you serious?" Lilo said in child-like fear. She couldn't believe those two would risk their lives like that. She had to say something now "They could get hurt! Or worse! I mean yeah this is a war but losing lives isn't what we're supposed to do... Right gothel?" Lilo hoped gothel would say something to help her point

"What?!" Gothel took that opportunity to stand up from her chair so that she was properly looking at the boy in question. Furious didn't even begin to describe Gothel right then. She had wanted to make sure they stayed out of the fighting for as long as possible, but with two of her kind on the battlefield it would be impossible. Just being there was enough to send the message that they wanted to be involved! Not the message Gothel wanted to send. "Why didn't you do anything to stop them? Don't they have any idea of what's out there? They could get themselves killed!" Gothel snapped. Especially Hiccup. That boy was incompetence incarnate if she had ever seen it.
"I thought I made it perfectly clear when I got back from that meeting a few days ago that we were not to engage the other races in battle! Now they're going to think that we're perfectly fine being involved in this war!" Gothel threw her hands into the air, clearly exasperated, and took a few moments to seethe once she was finished ranting. Of course she wanted to become involved sooner or later, but she had hoped it would be later rather than sooner. She knew how close the battle was to their castle, especially since the woods were just outside the castle, but that didn't mean Gothel wanted to become involved in the fighting so quickly. Now it appeared as though they had no choice.
"Please tell me no one else is out there." Gothel groaned.

"Don't you think i would if i could?!" Wilbur asked. "I mean, i probably could have stopped time if i wanted to but my powers aren't exactly great at working when i want them too. Besides unless you wanted a giant dinosaur to have eaten them then i don't see how that could have helped." He was angry and scared. He should have done something to stop these two but what could he have done.
He had wanted to go to the fight as bad as Mami had, he had seen that determination in her eyes. "Even if i could have stopped them, they would have gone anyways." he muttered.
