She nodded when he talked about his dad. She thought it was sweet he looked up to his dad like that. And he seemed to finally be realizing that it took a lot fo hard work to master is powers, but when he did it would all be worth it. Though he still didn't seem so stoked about having the powers int the first place. They'd have to work on that. Though she was stil doubting whether her own were a blessing or a curse as well.

"Future self?" She asked. "That sounds exciting." she laughed. "dinosaurs and aliens, not so much."

Wilbur smiled at her. "Well, I might not be the best at it but some day I will be able to have your future self come on in and say hello." he replied. Twisting his hands around nervously, he was surprised that he could even talk to her, it was odd to talk to an adult after what had happened at his house, especially with his family.
