Fading Memories

[Xia]

"What's that?" Xia asked turning her camera on the girl and snapping a picture. She'd never heard of an elemental dancer.

[anrrii]

Anri gave the girl a bewildered stare after blinking a bit of the flash from her eyes. "Elemental Dancers are pretty much the best thing in the whole world." she said. "We are the ones that summon the elemental spirits to come to this world if people need favors and what not...of course, not without payment."

[Xia]

"Spirits? No such thing," Xia said shaking her head.

[anrrii]

"Figures, at least i have seen them. No wonder why they don't come to you. If you don't believe in them then they won't show up." the girl paused for a moment looking at both Xia and Rex. "I mean why would they want to appear to you anyways, you two are nothing special."

Rex looked at Xia for a moment. "come on, let's get out of here."

[Xia]

Xia looked at Rex and shrugged, "Alright. If you're going to take that."

She looked over at Anri and lifted the girl's hair with her mind, untying her ribbons and messing with her hair. Making the green haired girl look slightly disheveled. If she thought they weren't special that was her problem not Xia's and not Rex's.

Rex smirked before turning back to Anri. "Look, what's your deal? Do you have some issue with people or are you just naturally uptight?" he asked, before Anri gave him a glare.

"Look pretty boy, that is none of your business. I am the best at my job, in fact so far i am the only one at my job so you can just go back to doing what you do best." she snapped. Purple eyes narrowed in challenge. "I just happen to think that you aren't special enough to do my job."

Rex shook his head. "If you are the best at your job as you claim to be, then prove it. Summon a spirit right now." he said. "Come on, i am interested in seeing what the best can do." In turn, Anri gave him a pointed look but nodded before going to the circles.

"Looks like you get to see the dance after all." rex said to Xia

[Viscis Tractus]

As the dance went on, the wind picked up. Energy seemed to be pulled to one specific spot as the ceremony went on. Even the light seemed to be swallowed by that one spot as if it were a black hole. Littered trash and paper were caught up in the strong breeze. Then, a flash of light and there he stood.

It was a being made completely of stars. He stood at least a head taller than all of them. In his hands, he held a cup and saucer, most likely filled with tea. He was turned sideways from them as if he was talking to someone else before being summoned. He didn't notice where he was or who was staring at him as he continued talking to the person who wasn't there anymore. "....And then I said, 'Oatmeal! Are You crazy?!?"


After a few moments of silence, he finally seemed to notice where he was. He turned his head slowly, then threw the cup of tea over his shoulder and composed himself. "Yes mortals? What do you wish of the Spirit of Space and Time?"

[Rex]

Rex burst out laughing, clearly the so called spirit had been busy doing something else at the time the girl had summoned him. So it was more that he was laughing at Anri than at the spirit. However, he was impressed to find that in fact spirits did exsist.

Giving Rex a cold glare, Anri turned back to the spirit. "My apologizes Spirit of Space. I was merely summoning you to prove to these buttheads that there were such things as spirits."

[Xia]

"How do we know you're not just using a holographic projector?" Xia asked looking at the spirit with skepticism, "It'd be easy enough to hide them in the trees around here."

[Viscis Tractus]

Granted, being summoned was no easy feat. But to summon a spirit with no real intention except to show others was misusing the power. He sighed and shook his head. "It seems that you, Miss Anri, have much to learn of how to use your gift. Anyways, I'll let you by this one time."

He turned to Xia. He slowly came forward and walked around her. After all, since he wasn't summoned properly, he didn't have to do anything. "Ah, Xia the young pyschic. You're a tricky one. Not believing clearly what you can see and feel. We have never met officialy, but I know of you. I know of all mortals. Do you want proof of my own power?"

[Xia]

Xia looked at Viscis with a cocked eyebrow, "How do you talk? Spirits aren't anymore real than those made up fairytales. Though...a show of power would be convincing."

[Rex]

"Let me get this straight." Rex said to Xia. "You believe that demons exist and that you have awesome psychic powers that can lift things off the ground at will but you don't believe that this guy is a spirit?" he raised an eyebrow at her. "I think its awesome!"

[Xia]

"I'm skeptic on the whole spirit thing," Xia said with a shrug, "It's not very scientific. I mean...I've fought demons, I control my powers, but this guy is just a form made out of stars."

[Viscis Tractus]

Viscis stepped back, slightly annoyed. It was one thing to doubt him, but it was another to insult him and his kind. "Fine. A show of power you want, a show of power you will get."

He clapped his hands. Suddenly, they weren't where they used to be. He stood normal, but the others were no currently watching the birth of a black hole. His magic provided living necessities and was able to shield their eyes from too much damage from the supernova. "We are currently standing above the star you call the sun. This is about fifty million years in the future. Earth has been swallowed whole by its relentless growth, but you humans survived. You always do. By this time, your space travel has allowed you to populize other planets. Are you convinced now?"

[Rex]

"WHOA!!!" Rex said, his eyes becoming wide. "This is so awesome." he gave a grin as he glanced at the view before turning back to the Spirit. "Can you do more? Like stop time and do other amazing stuff?"
