"WHOA!"
Snotlout found himself tackled to the ground by something much bigger than him. That alone was enough to startle him. For several moments he struggled, trying to get whatever it was off of him, but stopped before too long. Whatever was on top of him felt scaly. Big and scaly. Blue gaze slowly went upward and soon Snotlout found himself staring into deep, lime-colored eyes. For a long moment Snotlout found himself almost hypnotized by the dragon's gaze. ...Dragon?
"Dragon!" Snotlout blurted out. He'd never seen one so black and big before. It wasn't one of the species he was familiar with frequenting Berk. Unless... this was the mysterious Night Fury that had never actually been seen before. But how was that even possible? Night Furies weren't supposed to show themselves. Suddenly, the bulky werewolf Viking felt very afraid. He'd vaguely remembered Fishlegs saying something about Night Furies that the dragon book had said. Something about hiding and praying that they didn't find you. Well, Snotlout couldn't run now. He couldn't let his first encounter with such a large dragon be his last. His fight with Chase might have been a bust, but this looked like it would be worth it.
With that in mind, Snotlout shook some of his fear away and let a low growl pass his lips. "You're going down. One way or another." Snotlout stated confidently. Without warning, he craned his head over his neck and tried to sink his sharp teeth into Toothless' foreleg. He didn't quite know how effective this would be, knowing nothing about how dense a Night Fury's skin was, but he wanted to at least make the attempt. Boneheaded Viking was a bonehead.

Sakura was furious that her opponent had left her. "HEY!" she snapped. "We aren't done yet!" the red head ran after the blonde and aimed a powerful kick at her. "Don't you ever turn your back on me! It will be the last thing you ever do!" the girl's red eyes blazed in anger.
--- "Well well well, seems like i am just the life of the party." Izaya smirked as he flexed his arms. "But the young demon huntress hasn't answered my question. I guess that's just one little detail i will find out some other time."
The brown eyes flickered for a moment at Hiccup and then the shadows below him spread out into two black wings, Like a raven's, he hovered a bit above the ground. "So what's it going to be. Killing me, or saving him. Because on one hand you look like heroes but on the other you all look like cowards. Then again, i suppose in war, no one can really be heroes can they? They are all just power hungry killers."
--- "Guess that leaves just you and me, your majesty." Chase smirked. "Should i remain in this form or you would prefer to fight me in my real state. Either way is fine with me. I have power and you have power we are both fairly matched."

Her ears had been so tuned to Hiccup, she did not hear the feet catching up to her. Her ears were focused so hard past the distance in front of her and the battle raging on all sides, only managing to catch the rasp of her name leaving Hiccup's name. It might of been her mind playing tricks on her, but she swore she saw the agony, and Hiccup sort of spazz for a moment. Her feet thundered harder, and angrier, louder howl leaving her throat. The demon turned away from her. He hadn't given a second thought of her attack . She'd show him different, her lips curled back into a snarl blue eyes blazing madly. Her legs moved swiftly, every muscle straining her forward, propelling her to her target. She had the plan in mind, the moment would carry her down to Hiccup, from there she'd leap, catching the demon by the side and tear his head clean off. A plan that was destined to backfire in itself, but draw the attention from Hiccup. It was good enough for her.
"Hiccup, don't worry, I'm coming, I-" Astrid never got to finish whatever heart felt or encouraging words. Or words. A foot slammed into her. An unconscious, loud yelp left her maw, eyes going wide in surprise. For the last moment before going to the ground, her head turned to meet Hiccup's gaze, shocked pain, and desperation evident for a second, as she glanced wistfully and sadly towards the scene where Hiccup lie. She didn't get to save him. Not this time. The momentum of the kick and Astrid's leaping gait knocked the girl onto her shoulder, sliding deeper into the forest, upturning dirt. It took a minute for Astrid to gain her breath, and the girl stood up. Her shoulder was probably wrenched, but time would heal that wound. In a made blaze of adrenaline and fury, Astrid dove for her attacker, eyes blazing, her arms were outstretched in order to better grab and take down her opponent.
Her teeth slashed mercilessly, metallic clips filling the air, a booming snarl vibrating down to her paws. Her shoulder was in pain, but the blonde ignored it for fury and passion were at her aid and she wouldn't deny the aid of such fit helpers. The blonde pushed away and returned to a new circle, dashing in every instant she could, tearing at the red head whenever she could. Merciless fangs and tireless fury were her companions. There was a fear in the pit of her stomach, that the chief's son might've just entered his first and last battle, and that the blonde might never see the companion that had truly grown on her.

(ooc: that's short?)
Izaya watched in amusment as the red headed vampire fledling, dodged like she was dancing, every now and then large scratches appeared on her arms and legs but she stood firm. "Oh bravo, bravo. Good show girls." he snickered. "Well, i've done my job and had my fun. Ta Ta!" with nothing left to say, the vampire demon disappeared into the sky.
--- Sakura panted and struggled to dodge the blondes moves, It wasn't easy and it was the perfect challenge she had been looking for. Spitting a tiny bit of blood onto the ground, she snarled and dodged one of the moves Astrid had been aiming for and did kick and punch after another. She woud not loose.
No matter how much it hurt. No matter how much this opponent caused her to bleed. Sakura would not go down. Not yet

From his spot on the ground, Hiccup watched the whole thing. Hope flickered in pain-filled emerald eyes. Astrid was strong. She was much stronger than he was, that was for certain, and she definitely stood a chance against this Izaya. Just as he was silently beginning to root for Astrid, though, the universe decided to crash down on his hopes and dreams. In one swift movement, Astrid was knocked away from the fight. He caught a brief look from her before she seemingly vanished, and all hope faded from his brilliant green eyes. She was gone. He was going to die.
"As... Astrid... Astrid, NO! ASTRID! ASTRID!"
It appeared as though her name was all Hiccup really could get out in that horrifying moment. Hiccup felt his body spasm again, followed by what he could only describe as a feeling not entirely unlike being punched in the gut, and his whole body gave in to what he would remember as one of the worst coughing fits he had ever experienced. His scrawny body couldn't take it. The immense pain coursing through his body, the toxins that were no doubt ravaging his innards at that very moment, and the horrifying image of his friend, the one that seemed to be his only link to Berk left, being knocked away somewhere he couldn't see. The only thought going through his head, other than the fact that he was so sure he was going to die, was that the universe hated him.
Coughing died down after what felt like an eternity. Once it did, and once Hiccup made the slightest effort to wipe away just a bit of the blood that had accumulated around the outside of his mouth, he caught sight of Izaya above him through half-lidded eyes. Oh gods... this is it. He's going to kill me. Hiccup thought. A look of dread briefly filled his features, but it faded after a moment. What was he waiting for? Why didn't he just kill him? Well, Hiccup never did get his answer. Izaya vanished before anything could happen. Whether or not Hiccup was grateful had yet to be determined. The scrawny redhead was starting to completely lose his resolve to keep himself conscious.

Kicks and punches flew at Astrid in rapid succession, only to be met with snarls and the slap of fangs when she could. When a fist got to close to her face, she'd let her maw open and close mechanically, hoping to rip up the flesh of the red head's hands and feet. She was mad. Furious, pissed, and above all, desperate. Astrid had slowly let her circle come in closer, her attacks becoming more continuous, more persistent. Fangs slashed and met one another many times. Her paws were now lashing out as well, she scratched out, pushed shoved. Her shoulder was but a dull throb and Astrid was fighting for not only her life, but possibly Hiccup's. That is if the demon had not killed him already. She'd been knocked to far away to hear the scrawny teen's cries and in her ears were the breathing of her opponent, herself, and the blood pumping in her ears like a heartbeat, gaining tempo.
The blonde wolf moved persistent and relentless, her attacks becoming more frequent, her teeth aiming to terror more, destroy more, the blood lust had been growing but the walls of the dam had burst open and the feeling had given the wolf a red haze over her vision. In a reflection of her eyes, the wolf's would have been no doubt, devil's red. Her lips were curled in a snarl, constantly. It stayed in the same position it could've been marble, cut so finely every detail was shown and never moved. The occasional twitch gave way to the blood and muscle inside it, creating the action. Astrid's mouth was red with Sakura's blood and all she could do was want more. The viking had been pushed to her human limits, and the wolf was now taking over. Easing Astrid's hands from the steering wheel and taking charge. The wolf of a girl was now tearing at the red headed vampire's limbs, her teeth aiming to grab and hold, twist, shake, any movement to create the most damage possible.
With a furious snarl, the blonde leaped from close range, almost vertically up, forelegs stiff as she tried to push over the vampire. Her head twisting and turning all the way, tearing at Sakura's clothes that guarded the soft skin beneath, and the soft skin guarding the muscle and blood. The girl was a monster. It had been contained to an extent, but the doors had blown wide open and it had taken its chance, running out like an entire army was chasing it. Now, fixed on a sole opponent, Astrid aimed to take her down. No matter the cost, chance was thrown to the side, skill was in play as well as the powerful emotions thrusting the blonde forward.

Proteus had been on the battlefield, but fighting had been taking place where he himself did not want to get invovled. So far, the demon hunter Rex, and himself had found themselves without opponets. Proteus had always prefered to work violence out with peaceful negotiation. However, he could feel demonic energy no matter where he stepped

Xia growled under her breath at the demon, "I want to know your name because it is something that everyone has. You speak and breath, but you are no human or anything like it." Turning to Hiccup she made her choice, "I hope you die demon, in the most gruesome way possible." She had to get this boy to an angel fast. Slipping her arm under him, she tried to get him to stand up.

Hiccup barely registered that Xia was trying to help him up. Fighting for his consciousness, especially while his head felt as if it was spinning and he felt completely miserable, was proving to be much more taxing on his body than he had thought. But even with Xia's help, standing seemed an impossible task. His right leg was perfectly stable, perfectly capable of holding his weight, but his left leg was limp. Bloody. Utterly useless for standing below the knee. He couldn't even feel what was below his knee on that side anymore, and he felt too dazed to do anything about it.
He wanted to just crumple back down into a little ball and lay there. At the back of his mind was the vague notion that if he did do that he would finally be rid of his pain. But there was a little voice nagging at the back of his mind. Urging him not to give up so readily.
But... I'm so tired...
everything hurts...
Even if his body was acknowledging his thoughts, it was a rare time in which it decided not to give in. He found himself barely standing, keeping all his weight on his right side for fear of toppling over, and beginning to wonder just how dead he must have looked. He couldn't voice his question, though. It felt as though if he dared to open his mouth nothing would come out but things he would rather keep inside him. Like his lunch.
Can't I just lay down again?
No, stupid. You need to keep fighting.
The harsher thought seemed to spur him on just a little. But only a little. His outward appearance hadn't changed at all to reflect his thoughts. Wherever Xia wanted to take him, he could only hope he would get there soon.

It didn't take Proteus long to see the young female demon hunter with someone. He could see the boy was injured badly and after cursing silently to himself, the leader realized what was wrong. The boy had been posioned by a demon. 'Damn. I should have known this would happen.' he thought before taking off into a run towards the two people.

"It doesn't atter what form you're in you're still going to lose your magesty" she said, returning his fake formalities. She wanted to kill hurt him, badly. Her hatred for demons had grown ever since the meeting. They killed one of her own, someone who'd barely begunt o live and was so full of life. Now here one of them was, attacking her. As far as she was concerned the demons were horrible creatures that needed to be gone. They were sadistic bastards for wanting this to happen in the first place.

Chase smirked. Well, she certainly had a temper. Not that he blamed her though. His kind did kill one of her own, but her temper was what made him laugh inside. Tempers must have run in this family, Kimiko certainly had one. "As you wish," he replied. "But i have no intention of losing."

Post by Toothless on Jan 25, 2012 20:00:44 GMT -8
The bite of the canine man wasn't enough to draw blood out of the Night Fury. Ebony scaled beast jerked his foreleg back from shock of the attack. He hadn't expected the canine beast to attack back. Why? He... wasn't quite sure why. Maybe the lack of battle caused him to think that he was always going to reign as undefeated champion of battles. Slitted pupils flickered instantly at his leg, seeing it wasn't much more than a flesh wound. Nothing too serious, right? Flickering crimson for a few moments before reverting back to the original color, his eyeballs looked right back at the wolf.
He wanted to see if this dog had the guts to come after him. A devilish expression was on his face, tail swishing back and forth, daring him to attack him. The Night Fury expected to win this battle. But there was a chance that luck wasn't on his side. Hopefully, that chance was small.

Post by Snotlout on Jan 25, 2012 20:11:49 GMT -8
Snotlout's blue gaze became fixated on Toothless' tail. Back and forth. Back and forth. How long did he plan on letting his tail sway in such a taunting fashion? It was beginning to annoy Snotlout. It did, however, bring to mind one discussion the teens had had with Gobber some time after Hiccup had been banished. Something involving dragons and their tails... but what was it? ...Something about flying. Something about not being able to get away. Gah... what was it?
"It's the wings and tails ya want. If they can't fly, they can't get away. A downed dragon..."
"...Is a dead dragon." Snotlout finally realized. It had been the one moment he'd actually bothered to pay attention to something someone had corrected him about. All because he'd said that he wanted to take out the dragon's legs with his face. Well, he had at least attempted doing that. But now the opportunity was in front of him. Now that he thought about it, which was rare enough an occurrence to seem like it wasn't possible, Snotlout did think the fins on Toothless' tail looked sort of like smaller wings. But... could he actually take out the Night Fury like that?
Only one way to find out.
Snotlout barked loudly and came rushing toward Toothless' tail. When he was close enough, or at least thought he was close enough, he opened his mouth as wide as he could, leaped, and tried to attack the majestic dragon's tail fins. The closest one was the left fin. Not that Snotlout particularly cared which one he hit. He just wanted to have bragging rights and be able to tell Astrid that he'd fought a dragon.
(ooc: Hope that's all right, Toothless. I'll change it if necessary.)

Rafiki stood vigil overlooking the battle, sitting cross-legged. He just watched with a somber expression while a bright light flashed besides him. Tulio was now sitting there as well. THe two didn't speak, just watched as the battle raged on.
---
Sokka sprung onto the battlefield, his wolf form melting away to reveal himself, weapons and all. He stood there in shock at how much chaos reigned. His eyes searched the battlefield. Wait, there was that one werewolf he met before. Snotlout was it? And he was currently fighting a dragon way bigger than himself. Sokka swallowed the lump of fear in his throat and ran forward. Werewolves stuck together.
He jumped and next thing he knew, he was straddling Toothless and hanging on for dear life.
---
Garrett emerged from a shadow, his staff ready for anything.
---
Thrax and Dan Phantom both walked down an incline leisurely, knowing full well that you let the fights come to you. Van Kleiss stood on the exact same incline and watched as Eris' plan came to fruition.
