(ooc: July 6th, battle thread, Its all against all. Be sure to pay attention to who is fighting who and go to "about battle threads" if you are confused about something. Pace the thread Properly, be sure you are not rping with yourself too much. Open to all!)
Mami felt her heart racing, faster than it had in a long time. It had become the first day of the newly begun war. She was not looking forward to it. Especially since she knew many people were going to get hurt. Out of all the places to have the battle at, why here? Werewolves and vampires would be loosing their homes. As tried as she could to get out of the battle, she knew it was better to at least stand a chance. After all, why waste your life cowering? Taking a deep breath she approached the battlefield, determination in her golden eyes.
She noticed a few others were already on the battlefield, but so far no one had begun to fight. Rex, the demon hunter, one of the demons and Proteus, the fallen angel leader.
(ooc: feel free to approach any of these three. Rex, Proteus, Mami and Chase Young are the ones on the battlefield. Might bring in Dawn/Wuya later on)

Xia made her way over to Rex, a specially crafted dagger in her hand. This was going to get blood she and Rex both knew that. Looking over at the boy she sent a thought into his head. Demon blood is poisonous don't forget, the thought said, as much as she hated sounding like a mother she didn't want to lose Rex. --- Ikuto sighed and jumped out of a tree, in his battle gear. A silver cross hung on his chest, a high collared, cropped, dark blue tank top beneath it. Connected to his short was a cape that was split down the middle, red on the inside and dark blue on the outside. His arms were covered by two long sleeves, held on by belts. His long pants were secured in the same way. On the cat demon's right hand was a three pronged claw that was attached to his wrist and jutting out far beyond his hand. His ears twitched along with his tale, trying to pick up on any others.
"Well well well," he said with a smirk, "An angel, two demon hunters, a witch, and two demons. This just doesn't seem fair. All that light and so little darkness."

Oh gods. Ohhhhh gods. What in the name of Thor have I gotten myself into?
Hiccup didn't even know what he was doing out there. He'd strayed away from the castle, looking for an excuse to try and work out the limp he still had from the injury Snotlout had inflicted the day before, only to find himself facing what appeared to be a nasty battle. In his haste to keep himself hidden, Hiccup had scrambled behind a rather large tree and crouched down. He had to keep hidden. He just had to. There was no way he was nearly skilled enough with his fire to even be a threat to anyone. What was more, he was back in Astrid's (and Snotlout's?) territory. In fact, everyone was in their territory. If he ran into Astrid, there was the chance he might have to fight her... right? Wizards and witches were against the others as far as he knew. At least, he had gathered that much from Gothel when she said the meeting hadn't gone well. What was he even doing out there?
Hiccup felt his hands growing hot. Whether he liked it or not, the fire in him appeared to be itching to get out. Hiccup didn't like the feeling. The tingly, sparky feeling that flickered through his fingers had never been a pleasant one. He thought he would get used to it, but evidently he was wrong. Hiccup refused to fight, though. He couldn't bring himself to attack anyone. "Please, for the love of the gods, don't let anyone find me." Hiccup begged softly.
----
"THE HELL??"
Snotlout was just as clueless as Hiccup in that moment. What the hell was going on? He could see many creatures present, none of whom he recognized, and felt the hair on the back of his neck bristle in annoyance. Who the hell had thought it would be a good idea to start a fight in the middle of the territory he seemed to frequent? Not cool, man. Not cool. In his annoyance, Snotlout barely registered that he had shifted to werewolf form. He wasn't going to just let this fight go on in his presence. He was going to participate, though.
"Come on! Bring it on!" Snotlout howled. Stupid? Yes. It was a very stupid thing to do. Did he care? No. Snotlout was ready to kick butt.

Mami stared at the shock of the others. Hiccup was here. "Are you sure you can do this Hiccup?" she asked with concern. Fighting in a war was not something she wanted to do, especially not now. However, if anyone was going to fight her, now it was going to be a chance to show that she was going to go full out. She would not hold back.
"Good luck." she whispered before rushing out to find an opponent.
----- 'You have got to be kidding.' Rex smirked at Xia. "I know what i am doing Xia, after all. I have done enough research on demons just by fighting them. So don't worry about me." he took out one of his daggers, before glancing around for any demons. There were only two. A cat and another boy who looked very similar to Van Kleiss. "Don't let them know you are scared if you feel like you are going to lose."
--- Chase smirked as he noticed a young werewolf coming out. "Well, well well, looks like you want to get right onto the party then don't you werewolf?" his golden eyes flickered as he changed into his repitilon form. Not many of his fellow demons had seen this form but he was ready to go full out on his first battle
"Don't let things get boring. I like a heated battle."
(ooc: Mami needs an opponent, hope you are okay with chase fighting snoutlout)

Astrid wasn't happy. She was beyond the definition of unhappy, angry, furious, and any other adjective in the same family. People were on her territory, uninvited and were about to duke it the hell out. Was she invited? No. Astrid didn't have the numbers nor the means to fight them off. So that made the she wolf angrier than the devil himself. It was almost like a defeat, and that sincerely struck a cord in the viking's stubbornness. A call was suddenly sounded in the air, recognizable in fact. Snotlout. Snotlout was a frequent visitor on her territory, and Astrid was happy in this case he was. It meant he was fighting for the piece of land he shared some hunting rights to. That increased the number by 1. Great. Astrid was sprinting, through the trees, leaping over bushes and branches, logs and small streams. Her ears were flat against her head and a sharp, short howl erupted into the air. It was no battle cry, but a marker that her appearance was near. Astrid couldn't count on anyone in this fight. Possibly only Snotlout, and the gods forbid Hiccup join the fray.
The blonde trusted no witches or wizards, and definitely no demons or vampires. She was also wary of other werewolves, especially now since they were considered to be trespassing. The girl's lips were pulled up in a savage, silent snarl. Her body seemed to be vibrating with the eagerness that battles brought. She was a true blue viking, and fighting wasn't new to her. She was aware of what to do in battle, and having to survive on her own out in the wilderness kept one's skills and sense on their toes. She'd learned to react with every of her opponents reactions, to read pain and submission as well as fear and fleeing. The blonde feeling one of those four her self. Pain was a necessity in war, but really was only fun if it left a scar. She was accustomed to pain, and new it well. To be a message that the body was hurt. It could be ignored, but like all messages it continued to pile up if one was not careful or paid their dues. If it built up, the sense would become clouded with it, thus letting guard down and attacks weaken. Astrid was determined to not let that happen. Sure she had no axe to fight with, but she'd become accustomed to the laws tooth and fang brought. She'd learned to fight with all she had in this wolf form, using her massive size and increased agility and speed to her advantage. She was light on her toes and had a crushing bite like all large canines.
The girl was reaching the battlefield in her own territory. A figure, hiding came to her sights, and the canine already associated the hiding with ambush. Nope. Not gonna happen. The canine left, leaping into the air and springing for the figure. Landing on them or a bit short, Astrid came to the surprise, shock, and heart stopping fear.
"HICCUP?! WHAT in the name of Odin's Ghost do you think you're doing?!" The werewolf barked, utterly shocked.

Mami's words seemed to go unnoticed. Hiccup hadn't even considered any of the allies he had among the witches and wizards coming to his aid, or even fighting, so he had no reaction to the light witch's presence. Instead, he let his body go rigid as he tried to make the feeling of fire at his finger tips go away. He didn't want to fight. He didn't want to fight. He didn't want to-
"HICCUP?! WHAT in the name of Odin's Ghost do you think you're doing?!"
Even if Hiccup had registered the familiarity in the voice addressing him, he wouldn't have been able to stop himself. The shock of the sudden shout made Hiccup freak out, and he was unable to keep the flames from bursting forth from his hand. Fortunately for him, it appeared his aim was rather off. It helped that he had kept his eyes shut out of fear of actually seeing what damage he could have caused. Once the burning feeling in his hands vanished, Hiccup let one eye open and then the other. A look of dread crossed his face when he realized just who it was his fire had unintentionally gone toward. He didn't even know if he had hit her.
"...Hi, Astrid." Hiccup said meekly, offering a very doofy sort of wave with one hand while hiding the other behind his back. Oh gods, please don't let her freak out at me.
----
Now this was interesting. Snotlout found himself faced by some kind of being he'd never seen before. He had the ability to turn into a lizard-like creature, so that was new. Snotlout wasn't all that impressed, though. In his mind, being a werewolf in a fight trumped pretty much anything. "Is that your way of trying to freak me out? if it is, I'm really hoping you've got more up your sleeves. It's going to take more than a little form changing to best Snotlout." Snotlout boasted. He thought he was pretty much invincible by that point. Never mind the fact that he had suffered an injury from Astrid the previous day all because he had attacked Hiccup. This was entirely different. He was fighting for the hunting ground he had rights to. No way was he going to let some demon take it over.
Snotlout didn't wait for Chase's reply. He leaped forward, fangs gleaming and ears pressed back against his head, and tried to latch on to his opponent. Stupid though it was, Snotlout thought it was a pretty good move for a first strike. He just had to hope it landed.

"I must admit, i am impressed by your form." Chase snickered in his lizard-like state. "But it is going to take a lot more than that to beat me." he smoothly stepped aside, not doing much damange to him, a small scratch or two nothing too bad. The lizard pounced, his own fangs gleaming as he latched onto the wolf's tail.
--- "Well, well well, isn't this something." Another demon, watched from the shadows of the trees. His brown eyes flashed with amusement, and his vampire like fangs curled into a dangerous smirk. "As fun as it would be to jump in right now, i think i will wait." Izaya folded his hands for a moment on his lap and watched the fights. Almost in utter amusement.

Astrid recoiled in shock, the flames brushing to close to comfort on her nose, and singing the fur on her muzzle, leaving a nice burn on the skin barely protected between muzzle in nose. The shock brought pain, and a wolf with a dropped jaw resulted. Her eyes were wide, ears straight up as she registered the pain. Than, her blood began to boil. Her lips writhed into a snarl, which the burn gave slight resistance too. Her ears pinned themselves against her skull, the fur on her jaw and muzzle was singed and the smell of burning hair burst into her nostrils. If anyone had every smelt burning hair or skin, it wasn't a good smell. Multiply that by the sense of a werewolf, and anyone would be pissed off.
To be fair, it had been Astrid's fault in the first place, she'd surprised the teen. In Astrid's defense, a battle was about to rage on and she hadn't seen Hiccup clearly. She wasn't about to admit anything to Hiccup though, accept her anger. Astrid was bristled to twice her size, and she was clearly displeased. The sudden attack had gotten the adrenaline pumping and the blood hot. Almost literally. "Hiccup, I swear to the gods, after I get done kicking these, whoever the hell they ares off my territory, your next." Astrid barked savagely, taking a few steps back. She sunk into a crouch, and took a step forward, as if about to attack the scrawny teen. Than, she ran full speed, and leaped at the last second leaped over a large tree root, if she scared Hiccup a little, that only brought her point to a promise.
The blonde wolf continued onto the battlefield, without turning back or saying another word to Hiccup. A savage, fierce battle cry and outrage sprang from her throat. Blue eyes gazing over the possible opponents with a cold, malicious eye. Her ears pinned to her skull and a savage snarl ripping through her throat.

Hiccup winced visibly at the sight of the singed fur, not to mention the smell that came along with it. Astrid had indeed succeeded in scaring the hell out of Hiccup with her promise. He hadn't meant any harm. He'd just been freaked out! His body just reacted! As Astrid bounded off, Hiccup rose to his feet and tried to follow. Unfortunately for him, his limp slowed him down considerably and he lost track of her. "Astrid, I didn't mean it! You just freaked me out! Astrid!" Hiccup called. ...Of course. He had lost track of her completely. Now the redheaded teen was all on his own with who knew what out there waiting for him. A low groan passed his lips and he raised his hands in the air irritably. Now he would have to deal with his friend being upset with him for accidentally unleashing his power.
"Great. This is just terrific. What else could possibly go wrong?" Hiccup wondered out loud. Little did he realize that there was probably someone watching him at that very moment. At that very moment, he could have had someone scrutinizing him in the shadows and waiting for just the right moment to attack him. Even if he was aware of it, Hiccup's body wasn't. His hands remained cold. The tingly, flickering sparky feeling that came with fire going to his hands was gone. He was alone. Defenseless.
----
Snotlout cursed out loud at the fact that he had missed his mark. He had honestly been hoping to show what he could do against this Chase guy, but no. Evidently fate had other ideas for him. Just as Snotlout was about to turn around and attack Chase again, he felt a sharp pain in his tail. A howl of pain escaped Snotlout, only to be followed by an annoyed snarl as his lips curled back to reveal sharp, glimmering fangs. Unhappy werewolf Viking was unhappy. Very much so. Nobody got away with attacking his tail. Not on his watch.
Snotlout tore ahead, not caring if his hasty action caused fur from his tail to rip out, and tried to get away from Chase just so he could think of a better plan of action. Clearly he was going to need one if this lizard thing was going to be so bold as to attack him from behind. Not cool. So very not cool.

Chase was a bit surprised to be pulled back from the attack, having only gotten some part of the fur from Snotlout's tail, he spat it out, giving what appeared to be a "i am not amused" look. "You know you really have a lot of hair." he said spitting out a few more strands. However, this little set back was not about to give him the oppuronity to let his opponent attack him. ---- Firey red head smirked as she sped up in front of Hiccup to face Astrid. Her small fangs glittered in the dark, her spear held tightly in her hands. She wasn't sure if she would need it, but fighting a werewolf always striked her fancy. "Hey, wolfie! You wanna play!" she asked in a very cold but mocking tone.

Even with fur ripped out of his tail, Snotlout still felt cocky as ever. He wasn't going to let a bit of lost fur stop him from being the confident, headstrong Viking he had always been. "Guess you shoulda thought about that before taking on a Viking!" Snotlout exclaimed. Vikings were hairy. Nasty. Vicious. Snotlout liked that about his people. They were hardheaded, yes, but he didn't care. The one aspect of being a werewolf that he liked was being extra hairy. It made him feel manlier. That being said, he wasn't too miffed about losing a bit of fur from his tail. It would grow back in time.
Snotlout decided on a plan of action at last. He whirled around and ran back toward Chase. It might have appeared as though he was just going for the same tactic he had used the first time, but right when he would have tried to latch on to the demon's leg or some other part of him at the front of his body Snotlout leaped over him and tried to sink his teeth into the lizard-like demon's tail. It wasn't quite as graceful as he would have imagined it, but it was a plan of action regardless. Hopefully one that wouldn't backfire.

Xia shook her head at Rex, rolling her eyes she gave him a smile. Never scared Rex, she thought at him, Just not looking forward to a war. She sighed lightly and spun the blade around in her hand. She had to concentrate, with Rex here it was easier. She didn't have her mind overrun when she just focused on his thoughts. "Good luck," she said with a smile. --- Ikuto looked over at Mami and tried not to feel anything. To no success. He had to figure out a way to keep her safe and out of harms reach. There wasn't much option but to pretend to attack her and take her out of the battle. --- Odette made her way onto the battle field. Scanning the area, she couldn't help but feel slightly out of place. This wasn't really her forte. Leather pants, a white shirt, and flats graced her body. Sighing the blonde vampire over looked the scene. It was already starting with the demons not to mention the fact that the fledgling just picked a fight.

Dragon demon glided above in the skies, lime hued eyes flickering down below, scanning for a target. Majestic reptile glided in for a landing onto the ground, claws digging into the ground as he halted to a stop. Night Fury was ready for battle, but lacked a victim to pay the heavy price of fighting the demon. Eyes flickered the color of blood for a brief moment. Restless and in need of a fight, his claws dug into the ground further. There had to be someone, something around here that he could attack. But what? What in world would he be able to attack in this battle?
The scent of trees filled his nostrils. The smell of canines, and death were obvious to the dragon. Werewolves. Vampires. The majestic ebony scaled beast knew at least that much about his opponents on the battlefield. That there were vampires and werewolves. That they were in their territory, and could quite possibly become preyed upon for invading the territory. But that was just fine for the dragon. It'd give him a battle to fight.
~ Trees. Meeting back up with a... a good friend had got her to thinking. Watching, waiting from above was a good strategy. Waiting for the right moment to catch the unsuspecting victim. Or to signal everyone else to safety, once upon a time. Saving lives, essentially, was Shana's job once upon a time. Now she sucked life right out of humans. To survive. Crimson eyes watched down below. Demons. Witches. Wizard. Wolves. Vamps. Hunters, oh my! It seemed like you had the entire palette of magic in the forest at this time.
If the vampires were lucky, it was harvesting season.

Mami's golden eyes flashed towards the trees for a moment, concerntrating, she summoned her light arrows and concentrated. Pulling back the trigger, the arrow flew into the trees. In hopes that she would at least land a mark on the opponent she knew was there. Though as to what she was facing, she didn't know.
--- "Well well well, i wonder what this little man is going to do." Izaya smirked as he watched Hiccup. Clearly the red fledgling had taken care of the blonde werewolf. Which meant an opponent was free for the taking. Moving into the darkness once again, he vanished, only to appear right behind the fire wizard.
"Hey."

Hiccup practically jumped out of his skin at the sound of a voice behind him. Unfortunately for him his fire took a little bit to reignite, so he was left defenseless for the time being. Hiccup hastily turned around and limped back a pace or two, silently evaluating this mysterious being that had just appeared, and tried his very hardest not to appear nervous. Of all the times in the world he could have chosen to go looking for space in the forest, he had chosen the absolute worst opportunity. First he'd gone an accidentally singed Astrid. Now he had run into some guy he didn't even know. The person in front of him looked like he was a few years older than Hiccup. Great. It wasn't bad enough that he had been pitted against someone that he didn't even know existed until then. Oh, no. Now he would have to fight someone older than him.
"Wh-who are you?" Hiccup asked. He could already feel the beginnings of warmth returning to his hands. He lowered them slowly, carefully, in an attempt to make it look like he didn't want to attack. Really, Hiccup didn't want to fight at all. If it came down to it, though, he wanted to be prepared to defend himself. Even if the tingly feeling of the fire flowing to his hands made him feel supremely uncomfortable. Hiccup found himself wishing he hadn't accidentally attacked Astrid. Having her by his side would have been beneficial at that moment. But there he was facing some being he didn't even know.
You sure know how to pick your fights, Hiccup. Brilliant work there, brainless.
Great. On top of being in a horrid situation, his brain had decided to start mocking him.
