"I don't know...i mean some people don't see it that way." Wilbur said. "Though there are a few that aren't proud to know that magic does exsist. I used to think it was just in stories, but then suddenly it was like BAM! I got magic!" he said slapping his hand down loudly on his other hand. "I am not sure why i have this power but i am going to try to learn to control it."
Wilbur was trying to be calm about the situation for the past few weeks, it was harder than usual. He hadn't heard a thing from his family. It was strange and uncomfortable feeling.
--- "Some people are just scared." a quiet voice said from behind the group. Mami had been sweeping and cleaning around the castle. So it was easy to hear little bits of the conversation. Though not turning to face them, she knew that there was no sign of hatred in their hearts. Not yet.
"People do not understand the power and there for fear it."

Rapunzel had zoned out, staring out the window or the hallway, little thoughts catching up with her. The randomest, strangest things that always seemed to connect one another, yet, looking back upon the mini conversation in her head, Rapunzel could never figure out how she'd come from topic to topic. She couldn't even remember the thing that had caught her attention and first and had turned her focus to the current thought- how she'd gone from library and books to how dust can float in the light air. Odd yes?
Rapunzel's neck snapped to attention, instantly analyzing the intentions of those near her. Yet more grey shades, some darker or lighter than others. There was a horse, and a girl cleaning. How odd she'd never had realized they'd arrived. Rapunzel flashed a smile, and a curious glance to Hiccup as to how all these students had gotten into the room without her immediate attention. Strange indeed!
"I'm Rapunzel. Sorry I haven't introduced myself... kinda staring off into space." She shrugged, flashing brilliantly white teeth and stroking a fair hand through her long, loose, gold hair. She hoped no one had stepped on it. It was always a pain to wash the dirty area as well as brushed though a section of hair without stretching to the end. It always gathered knots when she tried to brush only a bit of hair, yet never reach the end. It was a long, tiring task, but with such long hair that provided her 'gift' as Gothel saw it, it was to be done.

Mami looked up at the newcomers. A girl with green eyes and golden hair. 'Wow she has a lot of hair.' however, she did not speak this thought outloud but went back to cleaning. It was strange to have so many people around but the girl didn't mind. She enjoyed listening to other's conversations rather than insert her own thoughts.
---- Wilbur smiled at Rapunzel before glancing at her hair. "Whoa, you have a lot of hair." he said. "How do you brush it?" ok that probably wasn't the best question to ask another witch but when curiousity got to the boy, he had to know things right away. It was good to know taht she was nice.
"So...what kind of witch are you?"

Rapunzel. Much better than Sunshine Mane. These were some strange names that these humans had. "Charmed to meet you." Luna said, her voice fairly loud and clear, directed towards Rapunzel, yet the volume wasn't as loud as her royal Canterlot voice. She had begun to get better with that volume and tone of her vocal chords. Her star sprinkled mane moved along with her head while her ebony tiara stayed in place when she moved her head to face the human girl cleaning.
She looked at the girl momentarily. A maid? Why would one be sweeping and cleaning? To keep on good terms with Mother Gothel? Princess Luna wasn't sure. She contemplated speaking with the light witch, perhaps even asking why she felt the need to clean, but decided against it when Wilbur asked Rapunzel what sort of witch she was. Her head swerved back to face the rest of the group, staring at Rapunzel with her large cyan eyes powdered with periwinkle eye shadow.
"Indeed. What sort of witch may thou be?" the princess asked, using a front plated hoof to add a gesture to the question by raising it upwards.

Mami turned to listen to the conversation, putting the broom against one of the tables, she made her way over to the group, rather than intrude on the conversation, she wanted to know as much as Luna what kind of witch Rapunzel was. "Oh yes, what kind of witch are you?" she asked

Rapunzel smiled and nodded in greeting to the alicorn. "Pleasure to meet you as well... and I'm a spirit witch. And you," She pointed a long finger to Wilbur, "Are quite mischievous." She smiled, than looked at her hair, brushing it with her fingers. She'd be lying to say she wasn't self conscious about her appearance. Having this long hair was quite weird. "Same way you do. Or anyone really. A brush. " She looked around the room, using her magic to once again look at everyone's intentions. The alicorn and the other girl still had the shades of grey, but hints of their magic were swaying the shades. Tricky thing magic was. Princess Luna slightly darker, Mami a bit lighter, and Hiccup's intentions seemed to be a... burning grey.
It was a hard thing to focus on and interpret, magic being a strange player in an even stranger game. After all her years still studying with Gothel, it was still somewhat hard to fully understand and learn her magic. Confusing spells mixed with the natural magic given to her already. Some days she felt like she knew more about herself than before, other days she was completely lost.
"What about you guys?"

"I have no idea." Hiccup replied honestly, shrugging as he finished speaking. "I mean, I've got some fire powers if that's any help pinpointing anything. Maybe I'm supposed to be some kind of... pyrotechnic?" Hiccup asked. Was that even the right word? Probably not. Hiccup was unfamiliar with words relating to magic. All he knew was that he was failing to some degree already with his powers, and if that was any indication of what was to come then he was in for a long, difficult road of training.
"Not like I have any actual control over my powers yet. But I guess that's why I'm here. To learn, right?" he asked. That was why they were all there, right? They were Gothel's students, after all. It only made sense that they would be there to learn from the woman. Well... it was fair to say that Hiccup was mostly there because no one else would take him. No one else needed to know that, though.

Wilbur smiled at Rapunzel. "What's wrong with being mischievous. I find that it helps lighten the mood." he said before responding. "I don't know about you but i think fire beats my powers. I have it over time, which is really convenent if i want to take a break from lessons."
Mami gave a tiny smile and laughed. "I'm a light witch, nothing really special." she said. "It's nice to meet you all though."

"Dark witch. We believe it makes sense that... I am a witch of the darkness. Where I come from, I am the princess of the night. Bringing the moon and the night. However, it is quite the pleasure to meet all of thou with such... differences in magic." Princess Luna responded next in the group, cyan eyes blinking momentarily. Hiccup said he had fire powers. Fire. Her big periwinkle powdered eyes flashed over to him. "Fire is probably the element that thou wields then. Or... flame? Another term for fire perhaps, yet you must certainly get the point that you wield the power of fire."
Out of all these wizards and witches, Luna just had to be the most awkward around. She was convinced that was it. How could she let herself become Nightmare Moon? Now she was lost in conversation and had to upgrade her speech. Not the most fun thing to do in her opinion.

The door banged open. It was accidental, but it still demanded attention. Garrett the dark wizard stepped through, his staff slowly clicking against the ground. As he walked past some of the others, the temperature seemed to drop a few degrees. The shadows showed him who was there and where they were standing, but then they dispersed in his head, becoming part of the black once more. The blindness was still there. The magic didn't change anything. But, the shadows were able to tell him and give him images everytime he walked into a new area.
He took a seat and turned his blind gaze at the group. His own shadow moved when he sat still, a clear indication of his power. Then, he felt something. He drew in a quick breath. Another dark wizard? Or was it a witch? He couldn't tell....

Night mare turned her head to the newcomer. The darkness alicorn witch knew what he was in an instant. Dark wizard. A dark elemental like herself. Luna blinked back surprise. She had hardly used the power besides training and bringing the night, yet she recognized that he had to be a wizard of the darkness. Something... was wrong with him, however. She was sure of it. Something was off. Luna casted the thought aside. She just had to hope he didn't have some sort of hatred towards equines, didn't plan on killing her, and have the guts to speak up to him.
She was a princess. She had to have the guts to speak up. Head held high, the princess spoke to him. "Greetings, wizard." she said, voice loud and clear as it usually was.

Garrett cocked his head. There she was. Another of his calibur. He turned his ear toward her, his sightless eyes boring into the wall. "Yes?"
The shadows reached out toward her. They traveled and met her own. Then, as soon as his touched hers, he saw. He saw her, a strange creature, a pegasus, yet a unicorn. He saw her sister, her kingdom. A princess? Then, he felt something else. A dark presence, laughing and cackling like no tomorrow. A name popped into his head. Nightmare Moon. Then, he saw a small purple unicorn and her friends. Then, the darker creature was gone and she was left in her place. "Luna, your name is Luna."

"That would make sense." Hiccup said in a matter of fact sort of way. It seemed as if the world really was taunting him at that point. It had given him the element associated with dragons. No wonder he had been banished. That had to be the real reasoning behind it and not just the fact that he was the odd one out all the time. Instead of remarking on that much, though, Hiccup's attention was drawn to Garret. The redhead blinked a couple of times and looked the older wizard over. How long had he been there? Had Gothel just kept him and the others away from Garret this whole time, or was it just bad timing on Hiccup's part and just not being in the same place as him until then?
Then the man guessed Luna's name. That, pretty much, astounded Hiccup. The Princess hadn't even said her name when Garret had entered, but he seemingly knew it without her needing to say it. He was good. Very good. Hiccup wondered if he could guess everybody's names that easily. "And... who are you?" Hiccup decided to ask.

Garrett whirled his head to the sound of the other voice. His shadows told him that it was a human male that was built like a twig. Long red hair with wide eyes. Strange heritage. His shadow went unnoticed as it reached forward and touched the young teen's. Images of a Norse town, burly vikings, and large flying creatures..... dragons? Then, the familiar feeling that compelled the hermit to become one in the first place. A fellow outcast. "Me? I'm simply Garrett. And you would be Hiccup of the city of...... Berk? Strange name, but what do you expect from vikings?"

Luna blinked her big, cyan eyes at Garrett. How did he know her name? That's when it occurred to her. The darkness. They were both holders of the dark element, and she should have seen it coming. He must have found out through the shadows on the ground. Luna hadn't tried that. Then again, she hadn't been practicing her magic much. Sure, she rose the moon back home, brought the night, and even used her magic to become something she wasn't, but use the shadows? Not something she was actually used to.
"Garrett, Wizard of Darkness, is that not your title?" Princess Luna said, voice loud and clear. He had been able to use it to find out who Hiccup was, not to mention where he was from as well. That impressed the alicorn a bit. She briefly wondered if all he knew about her was her name, or if he had known more than that.
