(June 14th. Thrax trying to see if the vampires are a good victim in the plan being made by the demons.)
Thrax crouched in the tree, watching the people below, his shades still on though it was night. In his hand, a cold cup of coffee resided. His dagger finger twitched earnestly, wanting to cut into something, make it bleed. The whole point of this op was to discern if the Vamps were good enough for the whole plot schemed up by Eris, his "Queen". He scoffed and went back to watching them. His demon powers let him remain unseen and destroyed any traces of the coffee's smell, making him practically invisible to the blood-suckers below.

Teenage demon hunter was bored. Boredom was not something that Rex liked at all. The day's job had been stale, no sign of demons let alone anyone that wanted to have fun. The boy picked up a rock and threw it across the forest terrain. He just wanted a decent conversation with someone. If anything he was looking forward to fighting but until then anything would do

Thrax sighed as his prey took off, the vamps literally flying away. He looked over to the brush that made the noise. He jumped out of the tree, slowly approaching it. A rock? Suddenly, he sensed another being nearby. He immediately drank the last of his coffee and threw the cup over his shoulder. His dagger finger started give off a faint glow as he climbed a different tree. He looked on at the newcomer, a faint feeling of unrest coming from the boy. This boy had killed some of his kind, dozens maybe. He sighed and took off his shades, knowing full well that they would not help him in a fight in a darkened forest. The Red Death smirked and mumbled to himself. "Bring it on."

Rex stopped sensing something. Tension, hatred, darkness. He hated this sense. Though that was probably the meteor shower's fault. All he wanted was one day without having to fight someone. Sighing, the boy listened to the silence. "You know its illegal to hunt in this forest without a license. Care to show it to me." he said calmly.

Thrax chuckled. He had forgotten that one classic rule of espionage. If you can see the enemy, than they most likely can see you. Guess that worked for when sensing auras as well. His chuckles reverberated around the forest. He started jumping from tree to tree, hoping to confuse the boy. "Hunting? My dear boy, don't you know a scouter when you see one? No matter, I can do both."
He stopped hopping and calmly sat down on a branch, his dagger finger bursting into flame, illuminating himself for the boy to see. "Good job boy, you've found a demon worth fighting, let's hope you're up for the task...."

So his demon sense was right after all. "And here i was hoping for a nice walk through the creepy woods." Rex shrugged his shoulders. "Oh well, beggars can't be choosers i suppose." he smirked at Thrax's challenge. "Alright mr. tall dark and broody. I'll take you on,"
Thank goodness that he had come prepared. first rule that Six had taught him, never go anywhere alone without a weapon and thanks to a local weapon expert, he had gotten himself a demon blade perfect for the occasion.

Thrax dropped down, his trench coat flaring outwards as his feet hit the soil. He stood up and slicked his hair back. "C'mon, I don't have all day....."
He watched as the boy pulled out a sword. "Oh my, a genuine demon blade? I'm so scared for my life!" his voice dripped with sarcasm.

Rex was at least this one could talk. The other ones he had killed just made funny grumbling noises and laughed all the time. They were really annoying. At least this guy had a sense of humor. Though it wasn't one that the teenager really enjoyed. "You should be." he said.
'Don't get cocky. Focus, he's stronger than the other ones I can feel it' Rex took a deep breath before charging at the man

The Red Death wasn't really impressed with the boy's charge. In fact, while it was being made, he even yawned out loud. Thrax literally bended his back at a 90 degree angle, letting the sword pass an inch above his face. As soon as the teen had passed him, he immediately snapped back. The boy's momentum was being too much however, he seemed to be heading for a nasty meeting with a nearby tree.

Fortunately for Rex, he saw the tree he was about to run into and screeched to a halt at just the right moment. The last thing he needed was for a face plant into a tree while fighting a demon. He stared at the creature in front of him for a moment. He was different than most, he hadn't seen a demon walk up right and talk until today.
So if he could fight then it would be a better challenge

Thrax watched as the boy observed him. He slicked his hair back, the bottom of his trenchcoat billowing in the breeze. He brought out his small rope of 'trophies', a black loop of cord with glowing orbs embedded in its surface. "You know what this is kid? It used to hold DNA parst, each one from a different person I killed as a germ. But, now? Each one is the soul of whoever is dumb enough to go up against me. You are about to join them."
He lunged forward, his powerful legs propelling himself upwards. His hand was pulled back, ready to thrust forward, dagger finger first...

"Gee, as fun as that sounds, I think i'll pass." Rex said dodging the demon's finger and stuck the blade down from behind. Now this was a battle. The other demons he had fought were never like this. and it was just as fine with him. He hadn't had a battle where he wasn't trying to figure out his opponent before.
It was a good change

The Red Death hit the ground feet first and immediately jumped sideways, narrowly avoiding the blade. He stood up from the kneeling position he landed in. He turned around."You know kid, you ain't half bad for a mortal. But, you made a fatal mistake. Your trusty demon slaying blade? You got the wrong kind."
He chuckled and dropped to one knee. He touched the ground with his dagger finger. Suddenly, a large ring of flame appeared around the both of them. "Hope you don't mind, I just prefer an arena for a duel."

"Hate to break it to you Demon." Rex said, glancing around the fire arena, his eyes narrowed in challenge. "I'm no ordinary human." he smirked. The fire was in fact a nice touch but it wasn't going to be enough to scare him. He had dealt with demons before and was determined to bring this one down as well.
I do my job for a reason he thought before turning back to face the demon.

El Muerte Rojo chuckled, his humor derived from the fact that Rex ignored the warning that his weapon was a little defective. It was perfectly alright, but it was only a sword with a simple hex that would let it harm demons. Only problem was, that it couldn't just be swung randomly. It was just like a normal weapon to demons, harming them, but not if it was blocked by another blade. "You know, I'm getting tired of these titles being used as our names. Let's introduce ourselves, shall we?"
He grinned and walked forward, his small imprints in the left behind by his shoes being outlined in flame. He pushed out his hand for a shake, his claws gleaming in the light of the fire. "My working name is the Red Death or El Muerte Rojo if you speak a little spanish, but you can call me Thrax. I only tell that name to close friends or people about to die...."
