Reunion, Ghost and Witch

[Danny Phantom]

Danny looked down at the ground nervously. "Um, well... It's not like I didn't try to save my girlfriend... at the time... I was in the ghost zone. There was nothing I could do." He didn't want to seem like a bad guy in Sam's eyes. He was glad she had dropped the ring though. "So I can only take that as Valerie and I are over."

[Sam]

Sam couldn't help the small smile that crossed her face, "Um...I'm sorry?"
She tried to wipe the smile off her face while she looked at the ground and picked back up her...food. Wiping off the excess dirt and what not she took another bite.

[Danny Phantom]

Danny smiled and tilted his head back, closing his eyes. "I know you're not. You were never a fan of us being together. I guess it's better now. I don't have to constantly worry about her figuring out my secret." He thought back to the two sides he'd seen of Valerie, there was his girlfriend, which he had thought of fondly. And there was the ghost hunter who wanted his head on a platter about as much as Skulker did.

[Sam]

"Not that I wasn't a fan of Val...it was more of her wanting your head on a platter," she said trying to hide her irritation at the fact he'd gone out with the ghost hunter in the first place. Things there had gotten way to serious for her liking. Okay it was also the fact that she liked him, but she was out of the picture now. As much as she liked Danny, Sam didn't want to change their relationship.

[Danny Phantom]

Danny nervously looked to change the subject. He didn't want to talk about relationships with Sam. Not right now at least. In an awkward attempt he said, "I saw you yawn a bit ago. Why don't you just take a nap? I mean, it's a beautiful park. Seems like as good a place as any to rest."

[Sam]

Sam laughed lightly and shook her head, "As much as I'd love to, you're here and I'm a little to psyched to see my best friend."
Then again, the prospect of accidentally "falling asleep" and leaning on him was tempting. She really just wanted to talk to Danny. Leaning against the tree however she couldn't help how heavy her eyes felt.

[Danny Phantom]

Danny wouldn't allow himself to be selfish and let Sam suffer from exhaustion, no matter how happy he was to see her. He chuckled a bit. "Sam, you can barely stay sitting up straight. And I'm not going anywhere so please, by all means, sleep. I'll be here when you wake up." He thought over his words after he said them, a big problem he had. He didn't know how they'd be taken in Sam's mind.

[Sam]

Sam laughed lightly and looked at him lightly, "Sure you will ghost boy."
Thankful for the offer of a quick nap the girl closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Her head rolling to the side as her body slumped against the tree and Danny.

Danny smiled as he felt Sam's body slump against his own. He wanted nothing more than to keep their friendship alive and he was way too scared of ruining that with a relationship. However, he couldn't stop himself. He didn't know how light of a sleeper Sam was but he took the risk. He light drapped his arm over her shoulders, simply holding her and nothing else. Danny knew that in some way this was wrong. But he couldn't help but feel like it was right.

[Sam]

Sam smiled slightly in her sleep, she couldn't help it. The change in Danny's position just made her more and more comfortable. She didn't know if he'd see it as weird, but she shifted slightly so she was pressed slightly closer to him. He couldn't really hold her accountable for her actions. Could he?

[Ember]

"Aww. Even without my help. Isn't that cute?" Ember mocked, hovering just above Danny and Sam. "I knew you two would end up together."

"We're not together," Danny spat, resisting the urge to get up and kick Ember's butt for fear of waking Sam.

"Whatever you say dipstick," Ember mocked. "I can change that you know." Ember flipped the dial on her guitar to the heart, threatening to use it.

Dan Phantom in his human disguise walked alone throughout the village, not particularly caring for the mortals making their way like ants. He was bored, extremely bored and there seemed there was nothing to do about it. Then, he walked past the Park Entrance, only to take a step back to view a classic scene that was carved from his , or rather, half of himself's past. Danny with Sam and just about to go into a spat with Ember. How nostalgic.

Of all people, why Ember? Recounting his memories, she had always seemed like the most annoying one had it not been for Young Blood or the Box Ghost. He gave a sigh and walked to a nearby park bench to watch the showdown. Unknowing that these three were here, he had no clue on how to move on except to just observe and evaluate Danny's strength.

[Sam]

Sam groaned at the sound of Ember's voice, "Leave it to that screech to wake a girl up."
Opening her eyes, Sam looked at the blue haired ghost and pulling a piece of the earth out of the ground she chucked it at the ghost. Then jumped up and away from Danny. Any other time Sam would have played dumb, but interrupting her nap on Danny, that was a little less acceptable.

[Danny Phantom]

"Aw, the baby woke up. Sorry dipstick, didn't mean to ruin your date," Ember sneared.

Danny blushed hard again and shot up, now that Sam had left his side for the moment. "It's not a date," he shouted. Checking his surroundings quickly, and without any lead in, a blue ring appeared around Danny vertically, starting at his hand. His hand went from being bare to sporting a silver glove, his body giained a black jumpsuit with the infamous DP logo on it, thanks to Sam. His feet went from red converse to silver boots. And his hair changed to snow white, his eyes glowing green.

Ember laughed. "Come at me babypop."

Sam stuck her arms out in front of her and closed her eyes. The ground around her pulled out in small chunks. She glared at the girl and smirked, "Danny's not the only one you need to worry about anymore."
