Reunion, Ghost and Witch

[Sam]

(Close to Danny and Sam for the first few pages then any DP characters can come in takes place June 19.)

Sam sat in the shade of the park, eating a piece of bread with grass seeming to grow out of it. The goth girl smiled lightly to herself, thinking about nothing more than the food in her hand. If she thought about him or any thing from the past she might break down. Putting her sandwich down on the ground she sighed and closed her eyes, leaning against a tree.

[Ember]

Danny noticed a certain goth sitting beneath the tree. He hadn't seen anyone from Amity Park since he left. He didn't want to believe it was her but looking at the "vegi-mush" in her hands there was no denying it. He walked over at casually sat down near her under the tree.

"I'm sorry, is this seat taken?" he asked, seeing as she hadn't spotted him yet.

[Sam]

Sam jumped slightly and looked at the person that just sat down. She'd recognize that black hair anywhere. Though she couldn't seem too excited to see him right? Wrong. She looked at him, her eyes growing wide as she started to smile.

"Danny!" she said throwing her arms around the boy, "I can't believe it! I thought everyone was dead!"

[Danny Phantom]

"Not everyone," Danny said smiling. He, ruluctantly, pulled out of Sam's hug. A huge pink blush crept across his cheeks. "I still don't see how you can eat that stuff." He gestured to the grassy-bread that was now thrown aside. "It looks like dirt." He made a face. "It tastes like dirt."

[Sam]

"It does not taste like dirt," Sam said crossing her arms, "It tastes like vegetables and has much higher nutritional value than the junk you and Tucker like to eat."

She rolled her eyes at the boy and watched his blue eyes carefully. A faint blush creeping onto her cheeks as she realized that he was back. Giving a fake cough she looked away.

"Okay...it tastes like dirt."

[Danny Phantom]

Danny chuckled slightly, loving having his old friend back. There was no denying that he had missed Sam like crazy. He knew from that experience that he couldn't live without her. He smiled to himself when he thought about the class ring his Dad had given him to give to Valerie. He had Sam ingraved on it. Actually, now that he thought about it, Sam still had that ring. It made him laugh a little more. Hopefully Sam only thought it was about the dirt comment. But at the mention of the other's name he couldn't help but question. "Do you know if Tucker survived?"

[Sam]

"We split up...like I said dorkus I thought everyone was dead," she said shaking her head at her dense friend.

She missed him and Tucker both a lot. Danny a ton more than Tucker, the meat loving techno geek. She loved having at least one of them back, and with Paulina and Val out of the picture, hopefully, she'd finally have Danny's attention. Wait, she made herself back up, Danny was possibly still in love with Val. She did still have that ring in her pocket, but it had her name on it. Everything was so confusing.

[Danny Phantom]

Danny brushed his hand over the back of his head nervously. "Right, I, uh, forgot." Danny thought about everything that had ever happened between him and Sam. He thought back to Ember. She had made him feel things that he would like to feel again, just maybe not in that way. But he wouldn't tell Sam that. He thought back to Nocturne. He and Sam had had the same dream. ... He shook himself mentally. He thought back to Freakshow. He had used Danny's feelings for Sam against him. He wouldn't let his thoughts get carried away. Not this time. Not hardly ever. "So..." Danny said, at a loss for words. "How long have you been in this town?"

[Sam]

"Not very long," she said with a sigh, "I just kinda found my way here and started studying under Mother Gothel. What about you Danny?"

She gave him a light smile, thinking about how tempting it was to just lean against him and close her eyes. Mentally she slapped herself so that she wouldn't get carried away. She had to keep her feelings down, though if Ember was around the goth wouldn't lie about not minding if she hit her and Danny with a love song.

[Danny Phantom]

"Just got here," he shrugged. He sighed and just let himself ease his way back in. "It's really good to see you Sam."

[Sam]

"What's with the emphasis on really?" Sam asked raising an eyebrow.

[Danny Phantom]

Danny smiled. That was the only response he was giving her. He knew if he said more he would get himself in trouble. "So, I see you haven't changed much," he said, taking in (every ounce of her) her still gothic appearance. "But since that asteroid hit, something's got to be new. So what's up?"

[Sam]

"Let's just say you're not the only super-powered one anymore," Sam said with a smirk. She noticed him staring at her, and that smile made her slightly suspicious about what that really meant. A test, that's what she needed to do. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out the class ring. "I don't have to keep holding onto this do I?" she asked.

[Danny Phantom]

Danny looked at the ring. He had intended to give it to Valerie when they were dating. It was his dad's fault it had Sam's name on it. "You don't have to if you don't want to," he said looking away from her. He didn't know what kind of response she was looking for by bringing that up again.

[Sam]

Sam raised her eyebrow and put the ring back into her pocket, "Still don't get why the engraving is Wes." She'd let the boy off the hook for now. Though with all her training she was kind of tired. Yawning she rubbed at her eyes and looked at Danny with a smile. "How are things with Val? I'm sure you saved her right?" If that was the case she was going to be ticked.
