Danny looked down at their intertwined hands. "I didn't think it was all that weird," he shrugged. "Maybe a little out of character for you but not weird. I mean, I have had a girlfriend before. It's not like every girl in this world thinks I'm geeky and unattractive. And Paulina seems to think my ghost side is pretty cute. So it's not weird that a girl would say they love me. It's just weird that you'd say it."

At the mention of his other girlfriends, Sam dropped his hand and crossed her arms against the "cold". She didn't need to think about how other girls warmed up to him and thought he was cute. Or how shallow Paulina was to not notice that his forms looked exactly the same just with different colored hair and eyes.
"Yeah," Sam said rolling her eyes, "Because they totally thought that way about you at all times. The only reason Valerie went out with you was because of Technis."

"Are you still on that?" Danny burst, a bit louder than he wished. "Is it not possible that Valerie just liked me? I'm sorry that you're completly against the idea of me with anyone. You're not Jaz and you're not my mom so stop acting like it."

"And I'm sorry that you have possibly the thickest skull of anyone i've ever met!" she said right back, "I swear Danny Fenton, you are so dense we could use you as a cannon ball!"
She glared at him and sighed frustrated, she really needed to hide her feelings better around Danny. Rubbing her forehead she turned away, "Forget it."

Danny just blinked at her. Well, her dream was the same as mine... he thought. Is it possible that she likes you. I mean she said maybe. She didn't say it deffinitely wasn't a lie. Danny blinked again. He just couldn't rap his mind around this.

Sam was flipping out, had she just admitted to him that she liked him? Oh god! She had to find a way out of this mess. Seeing that he was still confused she faked laughter. Not very convincing, "I can't believe you fell for that!"

Danny knew his best friend better than that. He knew only one way to put his warring head to rest. He grabbed Sam by the shoulders. Sure they had kissed before but it was only fake-out-make-outs. There was something completely different about what he was doing now. Before he knew what was happening he was kissing his best friend. This is so wrong, his head thought. "You didn't feel anything?" Danny asked wearily, pulling away. He could feel the strong red blush so obviously on his cheeks.
