(June 17, open for Katara and Sokka for the first few pages, then others can come in.)
A brown wolf padded his way into the gate, weaving through the crack between the two parts of it. His nose had smelled some type of cooked meat and he planned on begging like a dog until he got some. The bridge had been a very long walk, but it was worth it as the tantalizing scent of simmering steak was on the wind. Sokka followed his nose and silently walked through the grounds, tail wagging. It was night and the moon was out, illuminating the way.
He found a door into the castle at the back and went up to it. He slowly pushed it open with one of his paws. Firelight blinded him for a moment and then he saw it. The remains of a meal. It seems that he had just missed dinner. His ears drooped. This just wasn't fair. He sighed, but caugth sight of a bone with lots of meat still on it. He brightened up and grabbed it with his open jaw. He looked around, then slipped out into the night. He found a tree which he promptly sat under and got to work eating. All he was left with was a bone which he still gnawed on out of pure instinct. He found it very strenous switching between wolf and human form, so he often just stayed the way he was. It was also hard to concentrate on it during moments of extreme emotion.
He stood up and trotted over to the gate, about to slip through once more when, to his horror, he couldn't. He tried backing out as well, but just succeeded in making a loud clanging noise. Panicked, he thrashed about, making an even louder clamor, the hinges of the old metal sqeaking and banging. Then, footsteps were heard and he was trapped. Crap.

Clang. Clang. Clang.
What was that noise? A shapeshifter who was testing out his or her powers? An unsuspecting victim who caught themself into a gate? Whatever it was, it forced the teenager to figure out what it was. She couldn't forgive herself if she just let someone get injured. She had just been on her way out in the night, just explore on another sleepless night. A wolf was stuck. How unfortunate for him. The water witch took careful footsteps towards the victim of the gate. From what little she knew about werewolves was that this could be one who had been on his way to gather information. To kill. And probably not very smart from what she saw.
"What are you doing, werewolf?" Katara asked, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked down at the canine. Something was sickeningly familiar about the wolf. "You're obviously not a shapeshifter. A shapeshifter would have walked out as a bird. Or a squirrel. Or something besides a wolf." Water witch tentatively took a cautious step back away from the wolf. She had to be cautious. It could all be an act where he could slip out of the gate and attack her. "You're going to get Mother Gothel out here from all the noise you're making. Just something you might want to be aware of."

Sokka stiffened. A voice. He started thrashing even more trying to escape the predator, fear etched into his face. He stopped when he heard that he might draw out someone else with that movement. He started to unconsciously shake, his heart beating quite fast. He was scared. He slowly lowered his head to put down the bone and twisted it to the side to look at his would-be attacker. "Who is Mother........."
He paused as his jaw dropped. The witch was way too familiar for her own good. How was it possible, she was supposed to be at home! Safe! That's part of the reason why he didn't try to return, to keep her and the rest of the tribe safe! He was able to stutter out one word. "K-K-Katara?"

Katara cocked her head to the side as she looked down at Sokka. She knew that voice. She knew that voice somewhere. It was way too familiar. It was as if Katara was going crazy in her maddening search for Sokka that she imagined this to be him for moments. He even knew her name. Possibly a lucky guess, but Katara needed to know how he knew her name. It couldn't be Sokka. Sokka was NOT a werewolf, or a wolf at all. "How... how do you know me?" Her mouth was a straight line, her eyebrows raised in surprise that the wolf actually knew her name. She didn't even notice his first sentence from surprise at how he knew her first name.
And how uncanny it was that he had a voice so close to Sokka's. Maybe he was a shapeshifter learning the use of his powers. Perhaps he could read her mind, look into memories. Use her brother's voice. Or just sound oddly similar. She took a tentative step forward closer to the wolf, kneeling on one knee, thinking of a way to get him out. If she could get the wolf out, maybe someone wouldn't hurt him. Gothel, some other witch, another wizard. He knew her, and that was enough for her to want to see the wolf live another day.
Or another night.

She didn't recognize him? How could that be? Oh, wait, he was still a wolf. But, she should at least been able to recognize the voice!
He looked up at her. "It's me, Sokka. I know I don't really look like myself at the moment, but let me explain!"

"Sokka?" No. That... that couldn't be! This wasn't the brother she had grown up with by her side. This was a wolf who invaded the castle. Her brows furrowed as she continued to look at her brother. "But, but, no. You can't be Sokka. You just sound so similar. You can't be Sokka." Let him explain? Let him explain what? Katara had to force herself to keep a quiet voice. She couldn't be too loud to alert anyone else. If she did, then they might kill him. What if this wolf... what if he was telling the truth? That's a laugh. But still, there was that chance.
With a sigh, Katara continued on. "Alright, explain how a wolf who can't get himself out of the castle area is my older brother then." It just... didn't fit together. This wasn't Sokka. It couldn't be. But certain facts just stood out to Katara that said otherwise.

The brown wolf sighed. He took a deep breath and launched into a short speech. "Well, you see, I was out hunting for the tribe and I was tracking this white wolf. All of a sudden, a bunch of bright lights lit up the sky and a bunch of shooting stars fell to Earth somewhere else. I felt something bite my arm and I look down to see it's the wolf. Next thing I know, I woke up in some forest not too far from here, like this."
He exhaled. That was fast. He fidgeted in his place, still tring to get out of the crack. Wait, that's it! If he couldn't prove it by just telling her, he had to show her! He concentrated and the fur slowly melted away, bones cracked and shifted in their positions, his tail shrunk into his body as did his snout. His eyes lost the golden tinge and his digits on his paws grew and formed into fingers as his hind paws became feet. His clothes reappeared as if magically. His wolf-paw hairstyle came into view. Sokka looked up at her. "See?"

It sounded like something Sokka would do. Get attacked by something. But it really took the cake that he was telling the truth when right before her eyes, the wolf became her older brother. Both hands instantly went up to cover her mouth, eyes widening in shock before she finally lowered her hands. This was her brother. Who knew what any of the residents at the castle would do if they found out that she was the sister of a werewolf? Katara was sure that witches, wizards, and anyone else around the Black Castle had hated werewolves. At least, that's what she thought.
"S-S-Sokka?" she managed to stammer out. Her heart was pounding. What if werewolves were supposed to kill witches? Was Sokka sent to kill her? Anyone she had known vaguely at the castle? A part of her wanted to hug him, another wanted to leave at that moment. After that work of trying to find him, hoping he was alive, it all went downhill when she finally did. As if it were all for nothing. He was Sokka, but what were the chances she'd ever see him again? What were the chances he'd get out alive?

Sokka grinned with relief. Finally, she believed him. Oh man, what was he going to do with her? Who knew how far from home they were. And, he was a wolf. It would surely get him kicked out of the clan, being some kind of monster like that. But, then again. He had found friends, ones who were in the same situation. He was bound to be able to live with them.
He tried to pull himself out of the gate again, but found out that he was only even more stuck then before. "Now that we've established that, can you get me out?"

"Yeah, I think so, Sokka. Maybe you should have thought of your plan fully through before getting yourself stuck like that." Katara said, a bit of a smirk coming to her face as she spoke. Now, how was she going to get him out? If she could get him wet with water, then maybe he could slip out. No, that only worked with grease. She stood up tall, azure eyes glancing around. "Maybe if you switched back, you could pull yourself out. That, or I'll have to think of something else. Maybe have to throw some oil, or grease on you. Take some from the kitchen. Not like you're going anywhere anytime soon."
Katara wasn't going to show him what she could do. Best if he didn't know that she was a water witch after all, right? She might be rejected by him for all she knew.

Sokka nodded and switched back to a wolf, tail wagging slightly. He was going to be able to get out.
When he had turned human, he had widened the crack slightly. He was able to pull his body through, but as he did so, the gate encircled his head. He pushed on the gates with his paws.
Seems as if he traded being stuck one way for another. He gave a sigh. "Well, at least I got my lower body out!"

"Well, which head is bigger? A wolf's head, or a teenage boy's head? Because if it's the latter, then try it. If not, then I'll find another solution." Katara said, cautious to keep her voice low. She had mized feelings about her brother getting stuck in a gate. She found it both humorous and painful to watch. It was humorous because, well, it was Sokka. He was bound to get himself into some situation like that one day. Painful at the thought that the person she'd been searching for was now stuck there like a prisoner, and she wasn't able to do much.
Well, not without doing something to reveal her identity as a witch at the very least. She probably could use something to do with water to help her brother, but what? She wasn't even quite sure what she could do to help him.

He looked up at her. "Well, how am I supposed to know? I don't spend my free time comparing my body in two different forms!"
He snapped at her. His tail dropped as did his ears. He wasn't supposed to do that. She was trying to help him after all. Besides, it was his fault for getting stuck there in the first place. This was a nightmare, but thankfully it was just his own. His sister was unaffected it seemed by the meteors. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that...."
(Either way, I'm going to make her have to reveal her powers. >:3)

The teenage brunette flinched slightly at the sudden snap. Alright, maybe it was a bit of a stupid question that Katara asked. But still, she had to think of something to help him even after that. "Alright, I think I've got it now." she said, heart pounding at the thought of her idea. Use water. If Sokka's head were wet, from Katara's understanding, a few things would happen. One, for karma from getting himself stuck in the gate, Sokka would smell like a wet dog for a while. Two, he might be able to get his head out. Perhaps it could work better if she ran in to get grease or oil, but Katara doubted either of the siblings had the luxury to afford that time to get that.
Nowadays after the meteor shower, Katara always had water with her. A small canister of water, sure, but better then nothing. With a deep breath, she took off the lid of the lean jar. Aqua floated up out of the jar as she knelt beside Sokka, throwing the floating water at his face with a wince. "Unless you want to try that with grease, try getting your head out now."

Sokka gaped at the floating water, but was shocked out a reverie as it splashed him in the face. Sputtering, he nodded.
He pulled back, this time head coming out with a POP! He was sent head over heels and into the body of his little sister. Well, not so little anymore considering she was taller than him considerably as he was just a wolf. He looked down at her. "How did you do that?"
